So basically this is the story if Robin had thalassophobia. "Alright, I'm gonna go to 4546B and find out what happened to my sister!" "Isn't that the water planet from the news? Won't your crippling fear of the ocean make that...difficult?" ".....Probably not?"
I'm a little late to this, but on the island where you meet Margurerit, there's a spot where you can use a spy penguin to go in and grab 5 diamonds. I used this all the time in my runs when I didn't want to go deep for diamonds. To get there you go up the stairs to first get to delta station, then turn left and go down those stairs, go through the cave system and you can get to it easily :)
Dude. This literally blew my mind. I just finished Below Zero about a month ago, directly after playing the original. To imagine playing this game with one second of oxygen is totally incomprehensible. Like actually. I am blown away you made it this far and had to encounter this.
There weren't many interesting gameplay mods for below zero so I kind of took it upon myself to come up with something challenging. Was tough, but mostly in the first half.
I was somewhat okay with the multipliers up until you mentioned the 1 second oxygen xD I was like "hmm sure he can use tanks to upgrade that oxygen right??? Right????!!!"
If you go to the Delta Station Dock and use the Spy Pengling to go into the Spy Pengling area inside of a cave, there are 5 diamonds in that little space. So you didn't have to wait for the Sea Monkeys to bring it to you. Also you can in fact actually get the Sea Truck into the mine by going into the doors, you just have to squeeze into them from the top. Hope this helps for the next part! You're welcome
This wouldn't of helped this run but I found there's a small gap at the top of the koppa mining station door where if you position your seatruck perfectly you can get it through.
@@EphiTV I've actually managed to get my seatruck though the door a few times without using the gap at the top. To do so you have to actually move sideways to just barely fit through since the seatruck has more width than length. You might get wedged temporarily but after finessing the WASD keys for a bit you'll eventually get it through.
There's actually another way that's somewhat more convenient, you have to maneuver your truck through a vent system and you'll get in through a crack in the back part of the ceiling.
About the mining site and the seattruck You can actually glide in sideways to fit in My inner Halo player got me through that dilemma when I got stuck in that area
Quick mention for the diamonds. You can get a Spy Pengling and go to Delta Island and somewhere in the caves there I found a pengling hole which had 4 diamonds in it.
7:47 you can get inside of tha mine even throught door if you rotat setrucks engine in way that they will fit in that space over door (i always do that when exploring koppa mine?)

Do this but make the game so easy that a toddler could complete it easily As in:everything doing no damage, infinite oxygen, no freezing, infinite food, infinite water, everything unlocked upon first spawn, no items being dropped on death, and no crush depth.
1 oxygen is fine and all, but 2 ticks of oxygen would make it SOOOOO much more bearable. Deathrun mod is a joke compared to this. Air Pipes all the waaaay baby
Can't you get into the mine through the lava tunnels, negating the need for that half open door, or is that only to a limited section of the mine? When you get to the floating dock facing the island, instead drive to your right maybe 200 meters and you'll find a crevice with big cave tunnels at the bottom. Go through the tunnel past 2 lava vents and you should be in the main mining section.
I think the first was better, the story was too short as well. My opinion, what’s yours? EDIT: I never looked up anything, I went in blind. Never looked up any items or story locations. NOTHING. Made it way better
I prefer games that let you find the story through curiosity and exploration rather than it being needed for the game, so I also liked the first one better. It’s more what I wanted from a game. This one was still cool but I’m perfectly fine watching someone else play it without playing it myself
I don’t know why people are saying that Subnautica below zero is lacking in horror elements. This one is for fucking scarier than the original one. This is coming from someone who has played both out. I haven’t played too much of some Nautica below zero yet but I have been the first subnautica so far Subnautica below zero is for fucking scarier.
the shader honestly is kinda garbage. The lack of saturation is what kills me, making it darker and cranking up contrast is alright, but the saturation is so low that it's basically black-and-white
I found below zero, scarier and harder than the first. I feel like there are more big predators. I think I will give this a try though as I like challenges.
I don't think there's any total overhaul Subnautica mods like some other games. They're not officially supported, so most mods are hacked together and only change small things. Deathrun is one of the biggest and even that's mostly number changes.
I wouldn't say either game is actually hard, but of the two the first is definitely a little tougher. The deep zones are much more separated from the surface, the leviathans are more plentiful and aggressive, the sea dragons have ranged fireball attacks, the warpers can pull you out of your vehicles, the lava zone is far more dangerous than the crystal caves, there aren't oxygen plants everywhere, the map is much larger, and in general the game doesn't hold your hand as much - especially when it comes to the main objectives.
I found the original game more difficult than below zero because the original is much larger and deeper and has no map or guidance. It's pretty easy to get lost and confused. Other little things that upped the difficulty of the first for me was the greater variety in enemy behavior, the horror elements, and just how dark the game was in some of the regions. It was easier to miss things critical for the story and spend a lot of time trying to figure out why the game wasn't progressing on the first playthrough. Most of the things I just listed only affected the first playthrough of each game, but I still have no sense of direction. With no map the first game will always be harder for me.
This reshade mod is cancer. I could see changing the visuals to make them look more realistic, darker, but whatever you did here is too dark to be worth watching.

I think the oxygen mod is way too hard tbh, at least 5-10 seconds would be reasonable. But 1? Wayyy too over the top imo. Otherwise great run

Also tons of gold and a bit of crystalline sulfur.

I actually haven't played The Long Dark. Been considering it for a while, just had other games take priority.
The shadow leviathans are going to be such a pain to get past
