Swampy had a busted starter motor ☠️ so a few weeks ago Jase and his nephews decided to try and fire it up and have a mini adventure at All 4 Adventure HQ!

Can't Kill a 3LMine (4 Runner) is nudging 600,000K's without ever even having the Rocker Cover off it! Twas 500,000K's before I thought an injector service might be a good idea LoL!Stuck a wind mill on it at the same time & it hasn't battered an eyelid, still going like a Trooper!

We have drowned ATVs and trucks but not quite like this. My daughter swamped a new ATV in a beaver pond right up to the racks. It was floating when I pulled it out. Got it running that afternoon and it ran flawlessly for years. Try WD40 (the 4 liter jugs) mixed with diesel fuel in the crank case, transmission and diffs. Add cycle the unit (not to start!), flush out and repeat. The water displacing properties of WD 40 and added fuel for volume works well to shed the water and keep the parts lubricated and rust free.
How on earth is that thing not dead!! Those hiluxes are indestructible

I can think of easier ways to clean the mud out of the cab! But when you rolled it over I was like that’s genius you don’t have to sweep when the mud dries 😎

my snorkel setup into airbox has a small hole in airbox for water to get out - if you're this deep in it surely the water goes in there, so do it block off that hole? So many people say you shouldn't??

Using THESE tires on such light UTE you will need to inject half volume with sand and water , then calibrate with air.
THEN you'll need more torque and power, lower gear ratios, heavier suspension leafs, bars, larger brakes, winch and so on...
My advice is to size down your tires, bro.

Was 4 wheel drive engaged? I didn't see any turbulance coming from the front as one would expect if they were spinning.
Mistake 1: Not enough weight on the back witch change the tyres into floaters. Mistake 2: try to pull it out on the wrong side. If you hooked it from the back and then pulled him out backwards it would have worked.

I’ve seen this happen a few times in river holes in ye olden days in my time in the Canterbury Landrover Owners Club in my city... the worst outcome would be if it put some fear into the young lads mind... I feel for you Jase, while I’ve never had that happen to me, I’ve been embarrassed on a few occasions getting stuck when teaching off-road techniques to people just learning... the worst is when you have your in-laws in your vehicle and are taking them up a pea shingle spit and assure them you know what you are doing... and get stuck (but are able to self rescue using driftwood and vegetation like you guys use your max tracks which I didn’t have back then)... a good lesson to the young fella on how easy things can go pear shaped... and a valuable lesson on the importance of knowing the depth of water you are about to enter! To be honest... you should have known better... it hey, it happens!
