I’m so glad to hear viper talk about how bad the state of toplane is right now. I hit D4 then they nerfed all Rivens items and now I feel like I can’t carry hard enough no matter what lead I get and even if in 12-0, the enemy bot lane will be 20-0 and carry harder. It made me stop playing league
Sorry bro but you are not challenger most likely which means that this doesnt apply to you at all. People sinply dont play the game close to optimal in lower elos. Which means you will often find windows to carry even when you technically shouldn't. Imagine someone saying "i cant get out of silver/bronze because toplane state is bad right now.. nope. Just play better then your opponents (and your own team obviously) and you will climb. I would actually even argue that in lower elos its reversed in a way: adc is much harder there and solo lanes (especially top) have a lot of impact if you pöay the map properly and win your lane most of the time AND track jungle in early and mid game. In short: skill issue 😅
@@colinbuhler3860as a gold player I assume if top win, it just run down top like a bulldozer, and the only time when they wanna stop u, it's already too late.
@skoooter2 watch higher elo players, you will see that a lot comes down to roaming. Killing the jungler or even other laners. Depending on your champ you dont have to win lane for this (e.g. malphite) or you might need a good lead (e.g. riven). If you play something like sion, afk pushing im the side lane might also work in some cases. In the end it comes down to identifying the enemy win con and shutting it down. That doesnt work in every Single game ofc hence there is no single player on earth with a 100% winrate. In challenger its a completely different story since people play the game almost perfect usually, at least when compared to low elo.

Its insane to me that even if you catch someone off guard and get on top of them they are able to just run away with their BS 450 - 600 MS
Reverting unleashed TP would actually make toplane worse. Let's say you just solokilled your opponent lvl 3, you're left at 20% hp and you need to crash your wave that is pushing towards enemy's tower. They respawn 5s later because death timers are incredibly short nowadays. They TP on their wave, deny you from crashing it, you're forced to either die or recall and lose XP + get frozen. Death timers are a big issue nowadays. Because of low death timers, you're not rewarded for killing your lane opponent most of the time, that's why it's often better to leave them at 1HP and forcing them to recall and lose XP
