Thank you for your video. Trying to determine whether or not I can replace my old spiral tube balances in our 1996 Vinylmax windows. Apparently the company no longer uses this type of balance so trying to locate an aftermarket place that may sell replacements.
The top sash could possibly use a different length than the bottom sash. Most distributers either want to know the rod length or the tube length if you have old balances to measure from. Feel free to contact me at caldwellsash@gmail.com.

What do u do if the upper sash won't go up, even with 2 people pulling it?
Make sure that the sash is not painted shut. It shouldn't be that hard to move.

I have found this is Not so easily done when the window is actually installed.
