I was supposed to go to Davao for studying in the beginning of this year's January but couldn't due to covid...I will be there in September hopefully. Would love to explore whole of the Philippines and really looking forward to it.

Maybe you're refering to Manila only. There are lots of places in Metro Manila that are same or better than Davao. Some places are Makati, BGC and Las Piñas.

Looks like a clean & massive city but why do the buildings look gloomy and rusty? I think the building owners needs a lot of motivation to improve on paint and maintenance of their buildings. And the spaghetti wires hopefully would be lessened if not removed not only in Davao but all throughout the country. Keep moving Davao!
Underground cable management program is in full swing as of today in hopes of removing the "spaghetti" wires that obstruct views to the skies. The project is progressing from San Pedro St., City Hall Drive, all the way to Claveria St and further.
Nag start na po actually..slowly but surely 🙂..Rusty because they are old na and maybe the owners want to keep that kind of look, could be they don't have budgets or they are planning about it..Whatever their reasons are importante naman ay malinis at payapa ang lugar and to top it all still stronger and richer ang Davao.
Old because the areas you see are the old downtown area of Davao with some new high-rise buildings... there are 4 new CBDs being developed right now in Davao where you can see new, taller and more modern-looking buildings but the CBDs are not yet finished... Davao just starting to develop and still a work in progress. Maybe in 3 to 4 years' time, we can see a modern Davao City.
Pakalat kalat kasi ung mga buildings na new dito sa davao. And usually, most of the buildings talaga sa city center are old and rusty na. Davao is not known for buildings. It's a laid-back city. It's really like urban meets rural area.

@@jamesbryanelemia2701 to be honest mga nagpadumi lang naman sa Metro Manila mga skwater at pulubi eh. And alam naman natin saan galing mga ‘yun. Ang dami ring ganyang video sa Manila na magandang side lang rin pinapakita. But for me Baguio and Iloilo talaga ang most impressive for me.
