I would never attempt what you do, but it sure is interesting to watch you in action. Your patience in disappointing/ frustrating times is truly admirable and a lesson to us all.
Your flathead videos are some of my faves that you have done, I am glad you rescued the footage in part and TBH, your longer videos are my most favourite, I have already told you I use them to learn and relax to with a meal and use them for my PTSD therapy and a good long video with your content is some of the best rehab work I engage in weekly. I know this video is 4 yrs old now and your new camera stuff is panning out just great too.
Thank you Barry! Great to hear the videos help. Flat head was a one of a kind. He taught me a lot and inspired me constantly. Take care and thanks for watching
I appreciate the time you take to explain everything. I will watch your videos no matter how long they are. I need the step by step you include. Thank you for all the information.
+TribalLady12 Thanks, I hate to put anything out without giving a complete idea of how its done and why. Im always happy to share and Thanks for watching my friend
amazing Dave, once again your brain is something else. I really enjoyed the modifications to your stove and honest feel that this will be safer for you and anyone who wants to copy your design. Keep on doing what you do and please continue to make videos. It is people like you with the special gifts to create and come up with ideas and designs that make it easier for the rest of us who don't have your abilities. You are truly gifted in what you do and love watching. Thanks again and say hi to Nick for me and God Bless
Helena Field Thank you for your words Helena. I just try and do what I do and put it on video for others to share in the fun. Nick says Hi, I say God bless you too and Thanks for watching.
Your videos NEVER fail to amuse and inform, and I'm a big admirer of the work you put into both ideas and getting them onto video, whether successful or not.
The one thing about your video's that no one and I mean no one else has, is the god given gift of making anything interesting and totally understandable your able to hold our attention. This is not learned you are born with it and we out here in viewing land are the winners Dave . Happy Trails
I hope you went on to be a mechanical engineer, because if you didn't you cheated the world out of a lot of abilities and skills. I couldn't design a toothpick. Great video and thanks for sharing. Your an inspiration!
greetings from brantford,on.ca-home of wayne gretzky and graham bell. i find your vids informative and easy to watch(you dont come across as a know it all.) i have relatives on hollonville rd near brooks. bought a truck on ebay and picked it up in birmingham and stayed with them a week.wherever i went people were friendly and gracious.. i'd love to return as georgia will always be "on my mind."

Does youtube still have PMing? I'd like to send you pics of the shelter we made based on your video. Thanks again for doing what you do sir!!
Jennifer Charlton-Dennis Thanks brother, When I get my good cameras out there, Ill be back at the long ones. Go to the page on a persons channel labeled :about" on that page, you will find a message tab
Love your videos. Learning a lot. But I am wondering why you didn't make a bottom pan for your portable fireplace? Just curious, please don't take that as a criticism.
Neat mod! & I like how the tent sets up with the awning. The sheath is brilliant, too. What I also like are the organizational skills you use with everything you develop. Looks safe, too.
This is so clever, both how you modified the fireplace for a pot and the way you can stake it into the ground. Way creative ! Way fun to see your videos, Thank-you and don't let the camera issues get you down, there's so much good to what you're doing ! The possibility of actually being comfortable in a tent (in the cold )is appealing... I'm used to lightweight backpacking but this is cool too, keep it up !!
+Deborah Ferguson Thanks, Im glad you liked it Deborah. I often find all kinds of new ways to do thing. Especially to make em more comfy since Im getting older. LOL. Take care and Thanks for watching
I do have to say, I really love your "outside of the box" ingenuity!! You just took something, that I thought was a clever idea and made it even cooler!!
Yours are the only videos I would watch, even if they were blurry. I can have faith that whatever is over there and completely out of focus, is still going to be awesome. Keep up the great work, Dave!
+Julia Mahaffey LOL, Julia you just wouldnt believe the comments I get on how unsafe, dangerous or crazy I am. In reality? I only put the mild stuff on video. I never film my radical ideas. LOL.
can I just say BRILLIANT!!! you are like a modern day Ben Franklin!! I am so impressed! bummer about the video you did that didn't work...all that time and hard work =( hope we get to see a do over soon. thank you for such inventiveness, I feel inspired!
If you don't mind me say'n, you are very entertaining to listen & watch. You come out with some Very interesting builds for the Great outdoors. Keep up the cool work..
Hi David. Really love your videos and I don't find them to long because they are so interesting to watch! I really enjoyed your videos on the stove and the additional part on the back is very nice idea! Please keep making videos they are very entertaining and informative! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us
I hear ya on not having a fire in windy conditions, but many times I have went out in perfect conditions, only to wake up to windy or stormy weather in the middle of the night. The pins and cooking mods are good ideas. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you RBM! I just recently found your chanel and have been bingewatching your posts. I find them entertaining and very inspirational. I love the long rants and the cheap tarps! And all the clever shelters of course. So thank you for taking the time and see you in the next one. Happy New Year!
I just hate it when I have problems with my equipment - you recovered very well. Good video. I've come to the conclusion that a video's length is based on what we got to say. Once you've said it - end of video. Very well done (I really like the changes to the stove) and I enjoyed the heck out of it!
Dennis Petersen Thanks Dennis, Im glad you liked it bro. I never run out of things to say. LOL. I hate high tech digital equipment out in the woods anyway.
WHAT CAN I SAY YOUR ARE GENIUS YOU NEVER CEASE TO AMAZES THE OLD BUZZARD AND TROOP 1776 KEEP ROCKING THOSE VIDEOS MY FRIEND. YOU PUT SMILES ON A LOT OF SCOUTS FACES THEY LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR VIDEOS. cathie spain Thank ya ole Buzzard, Them scouts need to wait and watch the next video on the Flathead frame with no tarp. ?They are gonna love it. Its a simple but very very cool frame for a tarp. Stay tuned and tell them scouts I said hello.
Loved the modification on the stove! I truly enjoy your videos. A little suggestion - I would add a little handle or loop on top of the lid because after you have cooked something and you cap it off you might decide to make more coffee or whatever and the lid will be too hot to handle it with ease and the metal handle on the lid will be a big help! Looking forward to more videos in the future.
+angielovesowls Thanks Angie! Good idea on adding a loop. I usually carry a scrap of leather anyway as a potholder so I didnt even think of adding a loop or handle
Dave, like your videos and the projects you do. Your always thinking of ways to improve things. Please don't be concerned with the negative comments from some. These are from people who have no common sense or the ones who don't get off the couch. Thank you for all the time you spend making videos to share with us. God Bless
+banjowoodsman 76 Thanks, I'm glad you like all that I do. Negative comments used to bother me pretty bad when I first started but after five years of listening to the handful of trolls here on youtube you just get to where it is no big deal anymore. I just delete, block and spend my time talking to friends or answering questions. Im always happy to share and Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the link David you have some very nice outdoor gear. Just watched the popcorn video, really enjoyed it as usual. It's really good when one can laugh at one's self. Later Larry
Great vid, Dave! Thanks for your valuable time. Love all your vids, long or short. Also, another great design. Maybe you could use the addition part as a pot warmer after you put the lid on..Keep that Java warm. Have Fun Today!
Awesome designs! It is cool to show another mentor shelter design :) I look forward to your videos David. I know how frustrating it is to have equipment failure! But I would say this one was still well worth your time! Take care -Chris
Sir! Are you an engineer by trade? Most definitely you're a renaissance man. I hope by now you're no longer upset. Rest assured, each video is a thrill. I'm learning a lot! The doohickie in the back of the stove is a genius move. I gotta stop complementing you...it's hard not to, though. You're so very clever.
You are funny as well as instructive. I put together the heating system in my house years ago with salvaged materials like those that are in your fireplace. Thanks Dave! Joe
Good to see you David! Sorry to hear about your camera. I'm still glad we got to see some footage of the "Flat Head Frame" shelter. Thanks for sharing the mods on the stove and sheaths. Always brings a smile to my face to see you brother. Take care. :)
Great modification. Great video. Usually I don't care for longer videos but I enjoy yours and I hope you keep making the longer videos. Sucks about your camera screwing up. Thanks for including scenes from camera two. Gave me the general idea of what you were working with. Keep up the good work buddy.
+james78745 Thanks man, Im glad you liked it. I hated that camera screwed up like it did. I had to film it all twice. Oh well. I couldnt make a short vid if I wanted to. I love talking. LOL.
Looks like a very functional addition to your fireplace. I admit I was a little concerned with stability of the fireplace. And, like you said, "If you think it's unsafe, don't do it!". Thanks for sharing your inventions and time, I really look forward to your videos.
Hi David, watching your videos is very enjoyable and relaxing, besides educational, of course. Love the fireplace and mods. Sorry to hear about your camera. Always something. Have a good one & please say hi to Nick for us, thanks.
Hi Dave, Just wanted to say that I love your videos. I love how long they are, how natural they are, and that you tend to do/show things that are "new" (or new to youtube). I admit, I dont tend to use many of your ideas, because I like to carry as little as I can etc to be comfortable, but I still LOVE your videos and I get excited when I see you uploaded something new. Please keep making videos. Thanks again ~Flinton
S.F. Outdoors Club Thanks Flinton, Thats always good to hear. I try to make as natural as possible and as entertaining as I can. Thanks for watching bro.
I haven't been to your channel in a while...sorry about that. Life happens. And I did miss that sense of humor of yours...and your awesome knowledge. I'll be back to bug you a lot now...LOL. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
I did that recently, I filmed 3 hrs worth of stuff and got home, and loaded it to start the edit process, and there was nothing there. Only the very end. I have no clue what happened. Its frustrating no doubt. I for one enjoy your videos and you always make me laugh. I don't notice the time at all when I watch yours so as far as I am concerned, do what you do and don't worry so much about others :)
SouthPaw Bushcraft Thats bad Dawn! three hours ia alot to lose. I only lost about an hours worth but it did take all day to film. About two years ago, I filmed another video and when I got home and uploaded, it was all black. That only happened once and I never figured out what happened. Im always glad to hear the long videos are liked. Take care now and Thanks for watching.
Thank you Dave it's a great video I love all your videos I like the long ones they're not boring , there a learning experience and I would like to say thank you .
Happy Spring! I went looking at a camping lot for sale yesterday. Beautiful area. The breeze was coming through the trees...The lot, however, was very small and there were other people too close. One lady came over and told me about the area-there is a black panther that is seen pretty often, a black bear that comes around, at least two types of poisonous snakes, and scorpions. The clinker for me, however, was when she said the lady across the road was in jail for dealing drugs. Sigh. Looks like I will watch you and stay in the state parks. LOL.
amycrafts2012 Time to camp! No matter if its in the middle of nowhere, in a state park or in your backyard, theres just something great about sleeping outside. There was a story of a large black cat roaming the riverbanks for the Coosa river here. I never saw it but, I don't think I would want to. Happy camping.
Dave sorry about the lose of your work try not to let it get you down, just had a thought if you left the lid on your cooking section you could put your cook kit on it and just cook using indirect heat it should work and wouldn't soot up your pot. maybe a quick vid if it works 5 - 10 mins thanks Dave.....said it before and I`ll say it again glad your back
ray5220 Thanks Ray, losing that footage really sucked. Im thinking a pot will need direct flame. Once its sat on the lid it may just be a warmer but I do need to give that a try.
Reallybigmonkey1 hey dave great video man I like the modified fire place . It's a real bummer when technology let's you down but be reassured that we are all looking forward to seeing the remake of it when time allows. Ps this has also got me in my garage making a fire place out of a big 10 gallon oil tin and some pipes .alb Jam
Thank you for the video. It gave a lot of "out of the box" ideas and maybe a solution for my own project by putting the cooking on the BACK. I'm trying to design a "permanent" heater/cooker for inside a shepherd's hut type set up and am hitting a lot of snags. I need it to not only heat in winter with minimal fuel but also be like a fireplace and cook, bake and facilitate a dutch oven and smoker - deyhdrator as needed. So far, my conclusion was this requires a double chimney - one long one that burns clean for the mass heater and a quickie that's smokey for dehydrator/smoking. Your "off the back" idea may have just solved that ! I am using the rocket mass heater-cooker model - which in bushcraft would be the dakota pit. Here are some cool videos that have helped me - I thought you as a DIY master might really appreciate some of these principles and innovations. (I hope it's ok to share them) : This is a cool 4 chamber design - The most amazing model I've seen! Thank you for sharing a teaser from the video that survived. You make us all so happy with your upbeat, cordial time you share with us, I wish there were some way we could all give your spirit a lift after that disapointment. All I can say is THANK YOU again. :-)
Erin Owl Im always happy to hear how much to like the videos Erin but totally stoked to hear about your heating/cooking venture! I do really like the idea of a double chimney. A chimney itself is a good air heater in a tent. Ill look at them designs. I do plan on refilming this shelter set up. The frame is beyond cool. Thanks for watching my friend.
Thanks for the knife fitting details and I look forward to the full or second video on that type of tent build, if I can put it like that. Take care, no need to reply mrbluenun
Awesome video! I didn't realize that there were so many pine trees in Georgia. In my neck of the woods we mostly got spruce and birch. I wish we had more pine though.
Thanks Jack , I'm glad you liked it. Man this place is almost nothing but pine trees. I would say its 70 % pine and 30% various hardwoods. Thanks for watching
HI Jack, (I wouldn't say that on a airplane) he-he. I wish we had some Spruce & Birch trees over here All we have is Pine trees, (East Texas) I'd sure do some trad'in for some of your trees.... ; )
Lol if I could I would trade you too, my friend lol Birch is a nice hardwood. Burns very hot in a wood stove. I have a lot of respect for Texas. A great state that takes no crap form anyone including federal government. :D
I made a cooking comment on the first video before I watched the mods to your fireplace. You were way ahead of the game. Cool modification. I guess I was thinking of cooking on it without the stack, then putting the stack on when ready for bed.
Frederick Ippolito I havent quite figured out a great way of cooking anything large on this set up with it in a shelter, it seems like anything too big in the firebox might disrupt the flow of smoke up the chimney. The extra add on seems to do the trick. Thanks for watching my friend.
See the areas of the galvanized metal that changed to a dull grey from the original shiny with crystal shapes. That is where some galvanized burned off. Once it burns off its gone from that area more or less. I had a wood stove in a studio years ago where I burned it off the first time with a large fire, all turned to the dull grey color. I had to leave the room as it burned off its kinda toxic and I had a lot of zigzagging galvanized flue that had to be treated in a tall cabin like room. I then later sprayed the surface with high temperature flat black paint. Once again it had to burn off with a warm fire, and all was good to go. No more outgassing or fumes. Worked quite well. The flat black also radiates heat better due to a property of the surface called emissivity. Black color and most regular colors tends to be a high emissivity. Shiny silver colored stuff on the other hand tend to keep heat in. That's a reason teapots tend to be shiny chrome color. Low emissivity.
Dave....another brilliant video even if you are a bit upset at the beginning I can imagine how you feel wasting time like that... Looking forward to the next one 👍
Hah!!!!!! ---> " If I do something that you think is dangerous .... don't do it " . I spit beer all over myself when you said this . After having made aerospace and aircraft components for 35 years , it is obvious you are one of those guys that can build a jet aircraft in his garage . This is a seriously cool video and much appreciated . Your Kabar cutlass machete is my favorite shelter building tool . I will have to check out your other videos to see if you have done a review on this blade . I tried some fire felt to make gaskets . It works pretty ok . After drinking a 12ver ... broke my *^?$#$ ed rivet tool . Self tapping sheet metal screws are actually SLOWER than your rivet technique . Your videos are awesome and much appreciated . Processing 170 pounds of elk . Best wishes
Master Tracker LOL, Brother I pretty much know have to put disclaimers on whats dangerous looking. You wouldnt believe the folks that go crazy and attack me saying stuff I do is dangerous and gets people killed that copy me. I usually dont even answer, just a delete and block. I havent done any blade reviews, I just use machetes in the videos. Man I love using rivets. they are fast and hold great! Good luck with the Elk, Thanks for watching
Reallybigmonkey1 I have some high explosives and nuclear weapons that will start a fire QUICKLY . Use at your own risk ! . I know what you mean about disclaimers . Take it easy bro and keep up the great work .
I'm enjoying your videos so much! They remind me of how much I love camping and being out in nature, and how much I miss it. Your creativity and good humor are so contagious that it makes me long to get out into the woods again. You make it look like the best time ever. Where do you go to camp out?
JayJay Jackson Thanks, Im glad you like em JayJay. I usually camp on private property, off season hunt clubs, old timber land or in wetlands or swamps where no one goes anyway.
Dont be too hard on yourself Dave. I think most people today have a story where tech has failed and left them depressed. I really like the direction your channel has taken recently. As with the concern with the long videos (which i like), maybe cut them into two, similar with your machete and shovaxe video. One video in the shop/backyard and another seeing it in action in the woods both restricting 20-30mins.
brettbeatnick Tech will fail you quicker than anything. That would work cutting them into two parts but, so far everyone loves them long. Thanks for watching my friend.
Love the new mods! A real drag about the video! My Vivetar did the same thing! It started refusing to turn on, changed the batterys about 11 times, then it finally turns on and won't focus!!!
Modifications were good... but I had assumed you didn't use it In windy conditions..figured you checked weather before leaving as I do and make DIFFERENT arrangements as needed.. gonna find someone to make me one of these..thx 😊
Knot Shore Always good to hear. My Dad is getting too old and lazy to film and my son is interested in teenage stuff now. Oh well. Nick will come back one day.
Sorry to hear about the camera, still got a great video here, always love watching your stuff, keep them coming, stove looks great very cool idea for sure....
Great chimney outfit you made there. Your such a handy inventive man. A man of many talents. Oh just a thought. You do what I do clearing your throat. I do that only when I eat regular salt. I have to have sea salt so it don't effect my thyroid and close up my throat with swelling that I feel the need to clear my throat. When there is really nothing there. Also corn, chocolate, msg does this to me. I have allergies to them which causes clearing of the throat. I only mentioned it because I thought to myself, hey he does what I always used to do. I still do periodically, though no where near as much as I used to.
I would never attempt what you do, but it sure is interesting to watch you in action. Your patience in disappointing/ frustrating times is truly admirable and a lesson to us all.
Mary Cahill As long as its entertaining to watch, Im happy Mary!

Aint that the truth. And time flies when Im filming! I'm glad you like em Roy. Thanks for watching
i dont know about others , but i enjoy the longer videos, i make a cuppa and kick back for an hour. so keep it up in my opinion.
Brendon Wright Thanks Brendon! Thats always good to hear man
Brendon Wright I agree on the longer videos! They are so entertaining that the short ones go by to fast.

Zepply Ledson Thanks Zep!
Great work Dave -skill and ingenuity, as always. Sorry to hear about your camera. 5 minutes or an hour of film by you are always appreciated brother.
Huw Sands Thanks brother
Yours are the only videos I would watch, even if they were blurry. I can have faith that whatever is over there and completely out of focus, is still going to be awesome. Keep up the great work, Dave!
Jamie Hitt Thank you Jamie, That shelter is so different and cool, I hated to go ahead with the burry part. Ill refilm it all soon.
I'm so glad there are lots of people trying to keep you safe. Me too! AND that sticky back velcro is the best!
+Julia Mahaffey LOL, Julia you just wouldnt believe the comments I get on how unsafe, dangerous or crazy I am. In reality? I only put the mild stuff on video. I never film my radical ideas. LOL.
oh please DO film those crazy ideas! You are brilliant, inventive even if sometimes you may teach us what NOT to do you are a wonderrful teacher.
can I just say BRILLIANT!!! you are like a modern day Ben Franklin!! I am so impressed! bummer about the video you did that didn't work...all that time and hard work =( hope we get to see a do over soon. thank you for such inventiveness, I feel inspired!

Take care of yourself.

Dave Stutesman Ive never had one blow over but, it may be due to luck. The pins are probably a good idea anyway.
Thank you RBM! I just recently found your chanel and have been bingewatching your posts. I find them entertaining and very inspirational. I love the long rants and the cheap tarps! And all the clever shelters of course. So thank you for taking the time and see you in the next one. Happy New Year!

cathie spain Thank ya ole Buzzard, Them scouts need to wait and watch the next video on the Flathead frame with no tarp.
Later
Larry
TatDarYow Thats cool, Im glad you like the vids Larry. Sometimes laughter is the strongest medicine there is for stay healthy.
Great vid, Dave! Thanks for your valuable time. Love all your vids, long or short. Also, another great design. Maybe you could use the addition part as a pot warmer after you put the lid on..Keep that Java warm. Have Fun Today!
Madur Rudam Cool! You think like me! I kinda thought with the lid on with indirect flame contact it could act as a warming pad.
I was surprised and delighted that you posted another video. You provide much food for thought.
Shawn Strauss Thanks Shawn!
Awesome designs! It is cool to show another mentor shelter design :) I look forward to your videos David. I know how frustrating it is to have equipment failure! But I would say this one was still well worth your time! Take care -Chris
Oh yeah....congrats on 50K! :) wow
Windham Woodcraft I absolutely plan on showing this shelter in a full video. This one was Flathead Eds pride and joy design.
Windham Woodcraft Thanks Chris!
You are the Mcgiever of the forest. Lol. Love your videos.
Dennis Cook Thanks Dennis!
I am a machinist welder and fabricator for a living. Always good to hear you like the videos and what all I create. Thanks for watching Kelly!
Great to see another vid Dave. I think they are too far and few between but are worth it when they come.....This one one was great as always.
You are funny as well as instructive. I put together the heating system in my house years ago with salvaged materials like those that are in your fireplace. Thanks Dave!
Joe
1fanger Now that sounds cool Joe!
Good to see you David! Sorry to hear about your camera. I'm still glad we got to see some footage of the "Flat Head Frame" shelter. Thanks for sharing the mods on the stove and sheaths. Always brings a smile to my face to see you brother. Take care. :)
boggycreekbeast good hearing from you bro. I do plan on showing this full helter in the next video. The frame is the coolest part! Take care man.
Great! I look forward to that.
So looking forward to more videos! This one, as short as it was, was very entertaining! I also have my grandson watching your videos.
Jack Chapman Sounds cool Jack, more on the way!
It is always great to see what new idea's you get up to.
Louise Florida Always good to hear from you my friend.
I always like watching your videos of you out in the woods. Fastest hour or so of UA-cam ever. Lol. Looking forward to the next one. Great videos
collecting hobbies, learning skills Thanks, Im glad you like what I do!
Greyman Zink LOL, that's right bro, if it don't look safe, don't use it. Ive never had one fall over tho. Thanks for watching bro.
Hi David, watching your videos is very enjoyable and relaxing, besides educational, of course. Love the fireplace and mods. Sorry to hear about your camera. Always something. Have a good one & please say hi to Nick for us, thanks.
NWIPrepper19113 Thank you my friend. Nick says Hi.

John W MacDonald Thanks John!
Sorry about the death of your camera. Sure do appreciate all the time and effort you take on videos for us. Always a new idea!
goofeymaloofey Thank you my friend, I'll bounce back soon
Hi Dave,
Just wanted to say that I love your videos.
Never boring! Thanks again David.
LadyJoJoDmn Thanks JoJo, Im glad you liked it.

I haven't been to your channel in a while...sorry about that. Life happens. And I did miss that sense of humor of yours...and your awesome knowledge. I'll be back to bug you a lot now...LOL. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
ladyb003 LOL, bug me all ya want. Welcome back and Thanks for watching!
you put alot of hard work into your videos david ... thanks for all your ideas , their great
george lescay Thank you George, Im happy you like them.
Yet again man! you did a great job on this video and responding to detailed on safety excellent. Keep up the good work.
sam sonite Thanks Sam, Im glad you liked it. Like I say, if it dont feel safe, dont do it. Thanks for watching brother.
Love the mod. Can't wait to see more about that shelter. Looked awesome
Awesome!
Looking forward to seeing the new stove/furnace in action!
Detman101 Thanks! stay tuned bro.
like your inventive approach and your skilled metal work , quite the tin knocker ...
+william simmons Thanks William!
Thank you Dave it's a great video I love all your videos I like the long ones they're not boring , there a learning experience and I would like to say thank you .
Thomas Bishop Thank you Thomas.
Thanks for the new part of your fire and shelter and looking at how you put it together i like. And keep 😎
. Thanks for watching Gregory
Jam Thebushcraftman Sometimes I hate high tech stuff. Sounds great man, make all kinds of stuff in your garage when you can. Thanks for watching bro.
nice mods. i would like to try that fireplace myself. you are quite the inventor and handyman!
+Lonnie T. Thank you Lonnie! Give it a try. All the parts can be bought at any hardware store.
Great video love all the tips you give. I bet a camping trip with you would be a trip lol. Can't wait till the next upload.
peacekeeperz81 Thanks! Camping with me is a hoot. LOL.
Sorry for your camera, but you managed to bring us a great video (as always) all the same!
Thanks for sharing! :)
David , you are a genious!! good to see you again! ATB bro!
steinderbush Thanks!
Another great vidio. I learn more in your long vidios so take as long as you need to explain it.
Great channel...
doug edwards Thanks Brother Doug
Nice job. Can't wait to see it in action. Enjoy & be safe !
Dennis Kuenze Cool, Ill film it soon
(I hope it's ok to share them) :
This is a cool 4 chamber design - The most amazing model I've seen!

I know I speak for all your subscribers when I say we're all anxious to see the shelter video reshoot.
Take care, no need to reply

Awesome video! I didn't realize that there were so many pine trees in Georgia. In my neck of the woods we mostly got spruce and birch. I wish we had more pine though.
Thanks Jack , I'm glad you liked it. Man this place is almost nothing but pine trees. I would say its 70 % pine and 30% various hardwoods. Thanks for watching
No problem thank you for the great videos and great ideas an tips. :D
Great Video as always, love learning new stuff from you.
+mike johnson Thanks Mike!
Another cool shelter and a neat mod to the fireplace
not2fast4u2c Thanks brother.
Fantastic comment Gary! I have heard that before but wasnt sure. Thanks so much for the clarification brother!
I think your videos are great mate ! You really make them informative and fun😀 Rob from Woodford Green England
Thank you Rob, I'm glad you like them that much! Thanks for watching my friend
Love your vids ..longer= better .You always inspire me to go in the woods for an overnighter!! :)
veniva123 gmail.com Sounds great! Personally to me, the one nighters are the most fun when time is limited.
Dave....another brilliant video even if you are a bit upset at the beginning I can imagine how you feel wasting time like that... Looking forward to the next one 👍
Tony Eden Thanks Tony. I was totally disgusted. It was gonna be a great vid of the entire shelter set up. I was in my "groove" during filming. LOL.
Sometimes your videos maybe a little long, but they are always worth watching. Thanks
Joe King Thank you Joe.
DAVID! ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!
+Michael Nowak Thank you Michael, Im glad you liked it brother
Reallybigmonkey1 Well, if you get a TV show, I'll watch! I love the way you have made some of your videos very show-like with the intros.
man that is a cool fire place thanks David i really like that fire place
Dont be too hard on yourself Dave. I think most people today have a story where tech has failed and left them depressed.
I really like the direction your channel has taken recently. As with the concern with the long videos (which i like), maybe cut them into two, similar with your machete and shovaxe video. One video in the shop/backyard and another seeing it in action in the woods both restricting 20-30mins.
brettbeatnick Tech will fail you quicker than anything. That would work cutting them into two parts but, so far everyone loves them long. Thanks for watching my friend.
Always like your videos. And look forward to them.
Dutch1722 Always good to hear that my friend.
Love your creativity. love the videos as always. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Captain!
Love the new mods! A real drag about the video! My Vivetar did the same thing! It started refusing to turn on, changed the batterys about 11 times, then it finally turns on and won't focus!!!
trollforge Ah man, bummer! I hate it when cameras act up. Mine just crashed all at one time.
Thanks man, wow the the company I work for would love to see you in R & D .rock on my friend. Dale
Dale Wilson Cool! I would make em go broke tho. LOL. Thanks for watching Dale.
Nice mods to the fire place. That shelter is quite roomy with plenty of cover. Sorry about the camera. Thanks for sharing stay safe.
Opal Preston Shirley Thanks! Im glad you liked it. That is one very roomy shelter. I'll show the entire build in the next video
Nice modification on a great design Dave. Thanks for share and sorry to hear about your camera dieing.
M Callahan Thank you my friend.
Modifications were good... but I had assumed you didn't use it In windy conditions..figured you checked weather before leaving as I do and make DIFFERENT arrangements as needed.. gonna find someone to make me one of these..thx 😊
Sheila, you think more like me than anyone else! Yep, I never use it in windy conditions and I always know the weather before I pack my gear.
Nice to see you as always David. Keep on keeping on brother. :)
Paul Buikema Always good hearing from you Brother Paul!
Always learn something or get ideas from your videos. Thanks for taking the time....Haven't seen your son or your dad in any videos lately!
Knot Shore Always good to hear. My Dad is getting too old and lazy to film and my son is interested in teenage stuff now. Oh well. Nick will come back one day.
Reallybigmonkey1
Well hurry up and make more videos because I heard that old and lazy thing can run in the family!
Sorry to hear about the camera, still got a great video here, always love watching your stuff, keep them coming, stove looks great very cool idea for sure....
FSBushcraft Im totally bummed about the camera.
Reallybigmonkey1 ya that sucks, for sure, was it your new one...
FSBushcraft Yes, my newest one with the digital zoom.
Reallybigmonkey1 So I take it, it's not under warranty anymore or could be fixed...
FSBushcraft Nope, its over two years old at least
love your video's. your personality makes them fun to watch.
jtzr1 Thanks!
