I had the opportunity to visit the Kremlin in the winter of 1998-99 It was not at all what I expected As an American we usually think of the Kremlin the political seat of Russia but it was much, much more than that Fortunately, the film references the history, which goes back hundreds of years, long before the soviets were ever thought of. The churchs of the russian Orthodox are spectacular, with icons also hundreds of years old. As well as museums with artifacts from the eras of the Czas, such as cathrine's carriages, fabrege eggs, bibles, etc. I am thankful it survived the Soviet era ( and yes, I saw the big bell)
