Okay first, I love your desk. Second, the purple is awesome! And third, this looks so cool! It makes me very curious if I'm capable of 10K in a day... I think the most I've ever managed is 5.6K
I'm moving over into freelancing, I'm working my very last week at my bank job as we speak, and I'll be moving over to audiobook production full time. I also have a book in progress and I'm trying to figure out what kind of editing and reviewing and reworking I should be doing. Do you have a video up on that, or could you make one?
Congratulations!! Good luck starting your freelance work! I have a video where I walk through my revision process but I don’t have any videos about hiring editors or going through the full developmental to copy edits process if that’s what you mean. Mainly because I haven’t experienced that part yet. It also depends on if you plan to traditionally or self publish on how that plays out. If it’s your first book/first draft I’d recommend doing a self developmental edit and maybe giving it to some beta readers for feedback! Here’s the vid I mentioned: ua-cam.com/video/RYv83ibNnO8/v-deo.html
@@LeahRummel amazing, THANK YOU! I'm honestly just researching the process, and frustratingly (and unsurprisingly) literally everyone does it differently because, shock horror, every book has different needs. I appreciate the link! I'm watching it now.
@@erikaannette7397 I totally feel you! It took me a while to land on a process that worked for me so just keep trying new things and pick and choose what works! Ignore anyone who says they have THE ONLY way lol
Wow! What an accomplishment! Great job sticking to it throughout the day and bringing us along for the journey.
Thank you!
You are a legend and an inspiration! Congratulations on hitting your goal!! That is incredible!!! Also, purple is working for you, queen 👸🏻
Thank you!!!! 🥺
yay on hitting that word count! Like you said, it def helps when you know the story as well as you do!
Thank you! For sure 😂

Ahh thank you 💛💛 yeah this was only possible because of that unique circumstance of being so familiar with the story already lol, it’s tough!
Wow, good job on making that goal. 10k is super ambitious. Your lunch was interesting, is that avocado toast?
Thank you! Yes it was avocado toast :)
Hello Leah,
Do you think you can do a video that shares things you feel freelance editors should know (including handling their own taxes)?
Maybe! I don’t feel like I have enough useful advice for a video like that but I will definitely keep it in mind.
Congrats on the word count! Can’t wait to see where it goes. Incredible work.
Thank you!
well done!
Thanks!
