I would actually argue that it is necessary and a sign of growth that people apologize and recognize mistakes from their past no matter how long ago. This country was built on systemic racism and that has been perpetuated throughout the years. I think there is a spectrum what Colleen said is on a different level then say that politician that wore blackface on a yearbook photo. What I think is needed is to educated and help people grow and understand, instead of canceling people completely which is completely unproductive. I think Colleen is definitely admitting to her own ignorance and taking ownership and I think some of the feedback she is getting (not the death threats and bullying ones) is actually constructive and I feel will help her grown in the long term.

Many people I know don’t care for Jeffree or Shane but they still have a large fan base. I think if you just don’t agree with any of these people’s actions, you can choose to not support. Can’t really control a large number of people to cancel someone.

THIS is how you apologize. You own up to your mistakes and learn from them. Not act innocent and say you didn’t know the weight of your own words.
Everyone makes mistakes, it’s how you handle what you do after them that makes a person

@@noahlol14spinach95 no you’re a hypocrite. all their apologies said the exact same things, but for some reason you think hers is more genuine? you’re a hypocrite. they all made mistakes and stopped making those mistakes but you think colleen’s mistakes are more acceptable than theirs. you’re weird.

Honestly the whole video I just kept thinking about how her channel used to be called “PsychoSoprano” and the fandom connected with her and explained how it wasn’t exactly appropriate and she immediately changed it and explained to viewers why. Colleen has always been willing to listen to constructive feedback and make changes. She just wants people to be happy.

She is so mature and handled this in the right way. Instead of just begging people to forgive her, she admitted that she was wrong and apologized in the right way.
Btw I actually learnt from you Colleen, I am happy you made this video because I learnt something :)
