Chuck was an awesome player. I was fortunate to see him at least 20 years ago and every year up until his passing at the BerksJazz fest in Reading, Pa. He would sit in with different people at different venues; an arena at 7pm and then jamming at 10pm at Gerald Veasley's jazz club (bar). He was able to play and entertain in any genre. Truly a remarkable player and a substantial loss to the jazz community.
