@Stalin The Communist likely has a strong connection to the king, like they were close friends before his leadership, and still are, and although he doesn't like how he runs the place, he can't do anything to change it, and is too loyal for his own good
Ikr, it's kinda slow at the beginning. Then it slowly move to more of a boss music, but slowly faint away at the end. I like to think it reflect the boss. Like he doesn't have a choice, but still fight you with all his might.
accualy if you beat him while using no mana he will honer you and join your party, he is really good against the secret traffic guardian boss who is weak to brass attacks
I hate that the game makes you kill him, I wish he could've been recruited as a companion, he had so much more wisdom to dispense, and the acting was phenomenal.
The good ending: the main character has the stolen half of the partiture and takes it to his kingdom to restare peace and stop the war The evil ending: the main character realizes that the partiture is too powerfull, and it can be stolen, so he tries to steal the other half of the partiture to consume its power and become the tuba-king by betraying his kingdom and anihilating the enemy kingdom
Just look at the Tuba Knight's fallen brother in the bottom right corner of the image. He has every right to challenge you. Has your party gone too far?
And when you get him to 1% of health he will surrender and offer to join your party. “Stop! I yield! You are truly a better warrior than me. However to defeat my stronger comrades you’re going to need a little more tuba-power”
I can’t figure out how to get him in your party. I know that in order to end the battle without killing him, you have to be at very low health with no weapon in your hands (magic is ok as long as you don’t damage him, I recommend a chargeable knockback that doesn’t do damage, like forceshield, for going into menus) and he isn’t hurt. He’ll question himself over harming someone defenseless. At that point you should hope you have other Tuba enemies in your party, like the Wizard and Gunner. They’ll talk him out of battle, but he still ends up dead. It’s unclear if he took his own life or was killed by Lord Tuba. He did say that he couldn’t live with dishonor. Maybe you can’t party him. I don’t know.
Eh, there is a secret way to spare him, but it's not really worth it. Yeah he's got good stats and it'll make you feel good in the short term, but (SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!) you can't unlock the good ending if you spare Tuba Knight, because his moral compass is so tight that after the battle with the final boss, if Tuba Knight is alive he'll insist on giving the villain a fair trail as the law demands, and the villain will not only escape prison but will slaughter your entire home village in retribution, including your elderly mother and childhood love interest, at which point you'll have to defeat him again in an even more powerful form. True, Tuba Knight redeems himself by sacrificing himself during this second final boss battle, and its all symbolic about the necessity of bending your morals in the face of a pragmatic and brutal world, and the dangers of good intentions, but if you want the game to end on a happy note then you have to kill Tuba Knight. There's no way around it, his death is instrumental to unlocking the good ending.
George Sears that’s because you haven’t gotten him in your party. Interested in the way to spare him that doesn’t end up with him killing himself, though.
“I do not justify the atrocities I committed back during the Great Orchestral War. In fact I resent them deeply. Being knighted by King Tuba II was supposed to be the crowning achievement in my life but now I see that it was merely a title to bind me to his bidding. Young maestro, you have come far and bested many of my former allies to get here. If I am to be slain by your trumpet to atone for my sins, then so be it. However, I cannot reject the duties of a knight on a whim based on my beliefs. Let’s give this battle all we’ve got!”

You choose either the path of technological advancement (and fight the tuba knight/wizard) or the path of achievement and meritocracy (and fight the B.R.A.S.S.)
You wondered if you are fighting for the right cause, if this war, and all of the lives lost, were all for nothing. *But now isn’t the time to think, it is time to fight.*
One of my favorite bosses. It has no gimmick yet no exploits. When you lose to him you rarely feel angry. He is a tough boss, and deserving of his place as one of the last bosses you fight. His moves take just the right amount of time to telegraph to react, but not to much as to make it easy. The peak of the game in my opinion.
IMO the peak of the game is the Mech tuba fight just cause of the scale and how even tho his attacks are really Reactable the size of them and their damage make it incredibly tense
I mean I disagree. I think that honor goes to the trombone night. Although he’s more of an audible list. A quick telegraph but it’s pretty obvious what you can dodge out of the way of the blast or you could. Period massive damage of it. But it’s difficult but rewarding
@@thedbdentity2102 I do gotta say, his drops do be awesome, that slide grease letting you attack faster is really good with soprano class weaponry, and a god sent with baritone, Bass and contra bass weapons.

Sadly, its very hard not to slay him. Get him down to a sliver of health and offer him a chance to join you. 50 percent of the time he will join you, but the other 50 percent is a chance of an insta kill pole sword whack to your head. Be careful, adventurer! A long tuba journey awaits you.
Probably the most emotional boss fight. He just wanted to uphold his honor as a knight and defend the land, even when he knows the corruption that has plagued it.
He is a gentle but ineffective cure, while you are a surgeon removing the rot piece by piece, even if that means healthy flesh must be cut out as well.
El caballero está por caer . . . "No puedo permitir que esto termine así ... Incluso si es que tienes razón y este reinado debe terminar ... No puedo dejar que nuestra pelea, no, nuestra guerra termine de esta manera, ¡debo darte hasta el último aliento que tengo para honrar al enemigo al que me estoy enfrentando!" *El caballero Tuba sufre un incremento de fuerza, velocidad y defensa. El caballero Tuba sufre una disminución continua de HP debido al daño recibido y al aumento de estadísticas*
Once apon a time, there lay 4 kingdoms. The kingdom of Strings. The kingdom of Woodwind. The kingdom of Percussion. And the kingdom of Brass. For long they lived in harmony, until one day the kingdom of Brass declared war on all the land, devouring whatever lay in its greedy path for power. To this day, the land of the Orchestra remains dominated by the near-undefeatable kingdom of brass and its delusional monarch, King Tuba II. And yet, hope remains. A small orchestral group, consisting of rebel Brass warriors, and a few surviving members of the old orchestra, take up their arms and decide to wage a final war against the Kingdom. Though heavily outnumbered and outequipped, they must prove their worth and skill if they are to bring down the reign of the Tuba king and his brass kingdom. They will face the elusive Tuba Wizzard, a mage undefeated in his conducting skill, the Heavy Tuba Gunner, a juggernaught whose destructive power and sheer durabillity remains second to none, and the several ranks and waves of Tuba Knights, the legendary guard of the Tuba King himself. Only Time will tell who will be the victor of the battle. Edit: Wow, I never expected this to blow up.
Every villain is a hero in his own story, so the saying goes. So why is it that after the noble tuba knight fell, a smile on his face that he died protecting his country, that you have a sinking feeling about your cause? The council of woodwinds said the brass nation had attacked the rest of the world, and while you hadn't seen their armies yourself, surely the council wouldn't lie... right?
I absolutely agree with y’all saying that this is a sad and profound character boss theme which made it so much more endearing. And I don’t know why but the fact that we can see how close he is to a wall, door, and tiny window in the picture made this all the more impactful.
He's the last line of defense of a corrupt king, the final obstacle the player has to the final boss. The only thing standing between you and ending the reign of a tyrant is the Tuba Knight, no matter how little either of you want that to be the case. He no longer fights for the king, but rather to protect the people in the kingdom who have no choice but to guard the king, the ones whose families will be put to the chopping block unless they lay their lives for the tyrant king. He fights not for a mad monarch, but the innocents that monarch is threatening with death unless the Tuba Knight take up arms against you.
“I fight not for the tyrant that lies beyond this door I guard with such fervour, for I know he is a tyrant. My brothers have laid their hearts down for this monster, slain innocent instruments for this monster, for the fear of their disobedience invoking his wrath. You have met my brother Tuba Heavy Gunner? He is but one of the poor sounds in this endless cacophony of tyranny. Do you know what price he paid to see you to these Brass Gates, to aid you tirelessly in your quest? Was it the tyrant behind this door who had my brothers slain, or was it you, Maestro?”
this is honestly the best one imo. the fact that a piece of music is able to so clearly illustrate the personality of a character that is nothing more than a picture is truly impressive. it seems like basically everyone is in agreement that Tuba Knight is a tragic antagonist, despite the fact that the character was never written. That’s how strong the music is
The Tuba Knight stands steadfastly between you and the king's chambers. Though you cannot see his face, you can sense the unyielding aura emanating from within his helmet. "So you've come all this way?" He inquires, not once taking his unseen gaze off of you. "You have your reasons to fight on, your reasons that keep you going no matter how tumultuous the road you take is. You have your reasons, and I have mine. All I wanted was for a world where my son could grow up to be just as glorious as he could possibly be, to rise up to his full potential one day..." his voice trails off as you can hear tears entering his horn. "Whether the king's war was justified or not, it is not my place to decide. With my son gone, I have only one reason left to fight on. I fight not for kings or borders, but for all of brasskind to be finally heard! Did you listen to the radiant jubilee of my tuba brethren in the Orchestra of Peace? Did you hear the resounding chorus of the brass instruments? Even now, they ring loudly in my ears, their tubas and horns playing in perfect harmony as one. This is our chorus, our anthem, our creed, the duty I swore to uphold, and the people I now stand to protect. You have my respect, Maestro, for your valor and resolve, but I have to stop your here. I, Sir Brassium Aerophous III, challenge you! Let this be our grandest performance yet!"
I'm pretty sure this is a cover for a track From Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight. So it actually is a game OST lol Edit: It's not and I am a fool! It has some simmilair motifs as Pardoners Dance, and the generall Vibe fits very well into that game. But it's not actually from there...
This is not the song of evil. This is the song of a hero who only wants to protect his people. He has good intentions but is in your way of fulfilling your destiny.
God this guys story is so sad. He's the only one that constantly spares you in your fights, but his sworn oath to defend his king is too strong to break. It's even sadder when you have that last conversation with him where he asks if you killed his brothers. The dialogue options in it just breaks my heart.
Its so sad to know that He has nothing left but his oath. Unless you Go the really difficult Pacifist Route Theres basically no way to avoid Killing His Brothers and after what We learned of his backstory, Hes got nothing left except the oath that He swore to the King, the only Thing He can still believe in, Hes got nothing to lose anymore, Hes going all in....
But as we know, King Tuba II is a tyrant, and that the king must die to free the realm, so that his exiled brother whom he tried to kill may take his rightful throne, and so that there could be peace, prosperity, and security in the kingdom. The knight we be honored, as the oathkepper, much like his fathers before him.
@@SirMonty_ I happen to like them very much, but even if I was racist; I could still see that it's irrelevant to this video, and that song is repetetive and boring, it's garbage that pales in comparison to this, piss off please and stop spamming this.
Tuba Knight Elements: None Ailments: None Weaknesses: None Resistances: Boss, Special STRATEGY Tuba Knight fights like a stronger version of the player character and has no Elemental or Status weakness, making traditional boss strategies ineffective. Keep your distance and use the pillars to give yourself a safe area to heal. Learn the distances on his attacks and try to bait him in to one of his pipe based attacks, then retaliate once he's past the point of being able to dodge cancel out of them. He has low health, but can heal himself 5 times with a guarding animation that, if struck, will not do damage but will interrupt the heal. When his health first reaches the 50% mark, he will enter his 2nd phase as signaled by him shouting "Come on everybody, get psyched!" and the audience outside of the arena playing deep notes. This will power his attacks up with extra reach (via wind slashes) and will allow him to use his Honk Quake attack. Keep your distance and repeat you strategy as before, making to sure to punish his Honk Quakes. Once he reaches 25% health he will exclaim, "Yes, this is it!" and will enter his 3rd phase. He will not gain any new attacks, but all of his attacks will be faster. Don't get greedy and wear him down until he's at his last sliver of health. He will then shout, "No battle will surpass this. Come! We shall share a warrior's death!" and begin charging his final move. Attack him relentlessly when he does this to knock him out of the animation, and then he will be defeated ATTACKS These have been notated with the ranges he will use them at, not the ranges they can hit -Pipe Combo (Short Range): A short 2 hit combo with the pipe in his right hand, followed by a wild flurry. Tuba Knight can roll-cancel out of the first 2 attacks so it's best to avoid those and punish the flurry. He cannot be interrupted during the flurry but he takes damage as normal. In his 2nd phase, the extra reach makes this attack difficult to avoid so keep your distance and use invulnerability frame in your Dodge to avoid being hit -Pipe Rush (Medium Range): A backdash followed by a series of forward spin strikes ending in a stabbing lunge. He is invincible for the entire attack except for the lunge, and the spinning attacks will cause Knockdown. Block or back up, then counter his lunge. -Valve Combo (Minimum range): A 2 hit "shield bash" combo with the valves in his left hand followed by a headbutt. These attacks are slow but are invincible from the front, can cause massive amounts of stagger, and can inflict Stun with the headbutt. Furthermore, Tuba Knight can roll out of the bashing attacks and the headbutt has a very short recovery time making it nearly impossible to punish, so try to avoid this attack. Skilled players can roll through the attack to attack from behind during the headbutt -Valve Riposte (Any Range): A guarding stance very similar to his healing animation, distinguished by a flourish and by keeping his pipe drawn (although this can be difficult to see with it being cocked back). Attacking him in melee will result in him automatically deflecting the attack and performing a preanimated takedown move that will kill all but the toughest of players. If he's not attacked during this, he will instead perform a Pipe Rush. Circle him and heal -Charge (Long Range): An all out rush signaled by a sudden glow and shout of "Here I come!". He is completely invincible while charging and will cause both Knockdown and Stun if he hits you on top of doing huge damage. Nigh impossible to punish unless you lure him in to a wall and even then he has a fast recovery. Try to stay close enough that he won't do this attack -Honk Quake (Any Range): A powerful stomping honk that he will use to refresh his stamina once he reach his 2nd phase. It comes out fast but has a short range and a long recovery time making it an ideal move to punish now that his other moves have much better reach. -Final Honk (Any Range): When he's out of health, Tuba Knight will charge this move up. If he isn't stopped, he will release a massive shockwave that hits the entire arena, instantly breaks guard, knocks players out of dodge roll, hits repeatedly, and does enough damage with each hit to instantly kill the player. Attack him until his helmet comes off to prevent this. NOTE Tuba Knight will suffer a reduced version of all Elements and Ailments as though he were under the effects of the appropriate item. If afflicted with Sleep he will still move and fight using Low Stamina animations as though he had used an Energy Drink, he will not be slowed by Ice attacks as though he had used Rock Salts, and so on. He will also have special animations that allow him to instantly recover from Stun and Knockdown thanks to the effects of his helmet. This is in addition to the standard boss immunities and status downgrade effects (no Instant Death, Confusion downgraded to reduced range accuracy, etc) REWARDS Gladiator's Soul (Can be crafted into the Tuba Knight's Helm or traded in for a full stack of every status recovery item in the game) Gladiator's Brass (Part of making the Full Brass weapon) Gladiator's Key (Unlocks the Bloody Backstage Door) Commander's Folio x2 (Gives Warfare XP) Brass Chunks x2 (Crafting item) TRIVIA The majority of his attacks are similar to various "1-Handed and Shield" moves the player can perform, with the Valve Riposte being the most divergent (being a modified Parry), and the Charge and Honk moves being taken from Full Brass attacks. (I posted this on a similar video, but what the hell, I may as well show how much I've given up on sleep in favor of Nioh and Monster Hunter to a wider audience)
Tuba Knight Character Analysis: Tuba Knight is regarded as one of the more difficult midgame bosses in the entire game and if the player chooses to, his battle can be prolonged until the near endgame in order to recruit him. Tuba Knight's main selling point is his noble and pacifistic ideals, only choosing to fight if forced to do so. Despite his calm, level-headed attitude, his valor is exceptional among the Brotherhood of Shimmering Brass and the Brass Kingdom itself second only to the Tuba Paladin of the High Order. His chivalry and magnanimity stems from his tragic past. Born while his mother was assaulted by the Woodwind Bandits of The Farther Notes, and left to die on the Brassladen Plains. Later found by Tubarn, High Lord of Brass, he was kept in the care of The Brotherhood. Upon reaching the age in which he was accepted into knighthood, he had learned of his true origins. Filled with unimaginable bloodlust and wrath, he swore to desecrate the bandits that had imposed his mother's untimely end. He left the Brotherhood one day, never to be seen again. For 10 years did he pursue these bandits, and each one met their end by his hand. It was when he had met the leader of the bandits did his life come crashing down once more, the leader of the bandits was in fact his father, Woodward, and explained to his son, whom he was able to recognize by the scar on Tuba Knight's hand, that this was all a ploy by Tubarn himself, that his mother was killed by Tubarn's assasins for relaying the Kingdom of Brass' intentions of conquest to the Kingdom of Woodwind, the bandits themselves were Tuba Knight's true family. Tuba Knight was devastated on this reveal, for it was too late and he had already planted his pipe sword deep into his father's chest. Realizing he had slaughtered his entire family and was played a pawn by the High Lord, he found himself unable to do anything, he could not raise his sword against the High Lord, for it would mean the fall of his Kingdom and most likely his death as well as the Brotherhood's, and so he came back, his heart renewed and determined to atone for his sins, hiding his deep pains, waiting for the person to end his torment in battle and even perhaps aid him in his plights of mutiny, for the kingdom was ever slowly corrupted by Tubarn's dreams of conquest. As we can see, Tuba Knight is a complex character, one who truly wishes to atone, but he knows in order for this to happen he must pursue drastic actions that can lead to more destruction. And so he is trapped, unable to act, his drive for repentance is stopped by his newfound morality and his love for his Kingdom. He is especially grateful to the Brotherhood, for raising him as their own, and thus cannot bring retribution upon them, despite the Brotherhood being directly controlled by the High Lord, for he fears he will lose the only family he has left. This inability to act mirrors Hamlet's struggles, the eponymous protagonist of Shakespeare's tragedy of the same name. This was a great move by the game's writers, and they were able to add great depth to a somewhat stereotypical knight character. All in all, a great character with a tragic past and good intentions, but his own heart and circumstance has caged him, and is flawed by his lack of action to change his beloved kingdom, all to protect his only semblance of family, morality and sanity.
Not sure about him joining the team, seems more like a rival party that is in the same mission as yours, but for a different purpose. He definelly does sacrifice himself at the end tho

This is the dude that barely shows up, but the internet still draws obscene amounts of fan art and fan creations, to the point where most people only know of the game due to him.
@Stalin The Communist his theme definitely sounds very heroic, and visually, he appears to be very modest and sane in his selection of tuba gear compared to other tuba characters
Well, luckily I was one of the alpha and beta testers. There was a lot wrong with it at that point... For example, the type system didn't exactly work: all you could play then was the Turn Based mode, despite all the modes having been added at that point. It's one of the things the devs prided themselves on, the multiple ways to play it.
I think the fact that people will take their time to write 200+ character comments on what Tuba Knight likes for breakfast means youve got something going here
This song has so much character in it and all, and the knight looks great too, and then at the same time it's a picture of a drunk college kid wearing a tuba on his head with fantasy music slapped on it, I have no idea how should I feel about this
If you defeat: *Ugh* I was foolish, I thought I could defeat you and live by the legacy of my descendants but I couldn't, you were far stronger.... I'm sorry.... If he defeats you: I'm sorry it had to end this way, I truly am, maybe perhaps, we could have been great friends if things would have turned out differently... For now I hope you'll enjoy your journey in the world of above.... Warrior....
I am both happy and bothered with how much this unironically slaps. Happy because i get to experience it in the first place, bothered because we don't have an actual game with the tuba gang and this soundtrack.
“You know what you face, now that I am defeated? Good. I lay my sword down in your honour. Listen, Maestro. Let not the tyranny of his reign sound still longer. Let the music of my fallen brothers ring once more. On the orchestra of the Brass Angels, swear it.”
You've slain the mage. You've slain the demolitions expert. You've slain villain after villain. but evil isn't the only thing protecting the corrupt King Tuba II Now you face A TRUE HERO! 0:01
I re-found this video by searching "the knight theme" hollow knight theme that is. I'm glad UA-cam considers this masterpiece at the same level of that.
The Crazed Tuba Wizard fought for his wild experiments. The Intimidating Tuba Gunner fought for his own way of life. The Noble Tuba Knight fought for what is right. At least that is the impression I got from each theme so far.

For you took the life of my brothers and of my comrades; I am bound by honour to battle you, to protect my home and kingdom. All I ask of you is to give me a good fight and to stand your ground. May the best win."

The hilarious part is, I'd love it if someone actually took the ideas and concepts the comments have made amongst the various videos and went to this guy for the music and made a fire emblem or dark souls esc game where you are apart of either the 4 instruent kingdoms or amongst the many minor/instrument sub type kingdoms You could do alot of fun stuff with classes and race(instrument) stuffs!
"Ah, so it seems that mine king is dead. Legion upon Legion. Horse by Horse. Choir by Choir. You slaughtered this kingdom's every defense. What a twisted song you play, hm? Not one of brass, or string. Nor pressure, or melody. You've played a tune of broken cords through your whole travel. ... So at least you see. Aye, at least you admit it. ... You're not stopping, huh. Well, I suppose that I'll be the final string. But, do not allow your guard to draw, protagonist of this twisted tale. I know, this will be my swansong. But I shall sing until my dying breath! En Garde!"
I hope that someone out there makes a Dark Souls Tuba Knight boss. Or a Tuba Knight boss in any game and uses this theme for the fight. If not I will mute the games soundtrack put this theme on loop lol
Sir Tuba Knight: Story: As a Tuba he wanted to be loyal to his kingdom, but after that a bunch of heroes confronted him and told him about what is actually happening, he questions he's loyalty to King Tuba II, so he decides to join the team and become a new partner to the team
After the events of the battle of a thousand notes (good ending): After he survived the war he was given a brass army to call his own and to fight off any force of evil in their way. He then fell in love with and married a woodwind named madame fluette, they gave birth to a son and daughter named ebony and ivory. The hero of the war and sir tuba knight are still friends to this day. After the events of the battle of a thousand notes (bad ending): he sacrificed his life to save the love of his life, madame fluette. After the orchestra erased every bit of music in existence, he is now nothing but a stray note floating in emptiness, never to be completed ever again.
Tuba Knight: " Oh? So your approaching me?" Section Leader: "Can't tune the shit out of you until I get closer." Tuba Knight: "Oh ho! Then come as close as you like."
I love music like this that’s so well composed, that it can tell a story, even if it was never meant to The song plays like the fight between the hero-turned-villain and their once was friend, who tried to show them back to the path of light, but has failed and must now stop them at any means necessary. I had no choice in the matter but that’s no excuse for hurting innocents. I am beyond forgiveness at this point, hell I don’t deserve a knight’s death. “...” “Where did it all go wrong...” “...” “Guess this is it then, you need to tie up one last loose end.” “...” “Wish things didn’t end up this way.” “That makes two of us.”
"'Twas always to come to pass like this, was it not, mine old friend?" "Indeed." "Dost our esteemed past not merit us to set aside our arms, now, and depart in peace? Have we not earned the right, from our cameraderie?" "Thou already knowest this to be impossible. Our courses are too divergent. Our fates drive us differently. Laying down mine weapons...twould be as good as death and denial of my duty, and the same for thee." "It pains me, but thou speakest true. Very well, then. Ready thine brass: I shalt grant thee that courtesy." "The honor is mine, friend. May the Conductor shine favor upon the righteous, that they may be the victor."

His heart was pure. His heroism was unmatched. There was only 1 left to protect the Tuba race. He would die for his cause. But you stood in his way. Slayer of all who stood in your path. Ignorant of your actions. And now the last hope for the human races survival One race will live on while the other goes extinct, Are you prepared to make that choice?

There is something inherently *holy* about this song, it’s just so *regal*, the beginning sounds like angels descending from the heavens, and the battle part sounds like a fight between higher beings. This song is just so good, very good.
I can't believe that this boss literally drained me of all my ethers and I had to keep resetting just to get passed with the stupid first phase. Either way, it was nice having this music play with I was struggling.

Historians are fake They dont even know the history of The Land Of Orchestra Edit:Damn this blew up. I love roleplay since it lights this fire in my heart. A burning sensation to join in.
Orchestria is its name in the common tongue. It consists primarily of 4 main kingdoms, each with their own cultural identity and customs. These kingdoms are divided even further as they are not all homogenous. The fours kingdoms are as follow: The Grand Duchy of Woodwinds, the Parliament of Strings, the Kingdom of Percussion, and the Empire of Brass. The first two mentioned have a large populations but mostly focus on farming. They tend to be a more gentle people. The last two are more jingoistic. Both have a smaller population than the Grand Duchy of Woodwinds and the Parliament of Strings, but have focused more on tradesmen. As a result, the quality of things built in their countries is very high, with tools lasting for a very long time. This does come at the cost of resources. As a result, the two realized that they needed to expand to get more power and resources. They first dueled with each other, but realized that it would be a pointless and costly battle. Thus, they signed a non-interference pact and turned to their weaker neighbors. The wars have been fought with brutal ferocity on both sides but despite this there seems to be no sign of peace.
@@wormboy5520 nah, the bandlands are to the east, and are populated with nomadic tribes known as Bands, organised into clans. The most famous of these clans are known as the Rocker Boys, the Metal Heads, and the Electro-Poppers. These clans regularly form ever changing alliances and engage in wars with each other: an event called the Battle of the Bands. The Bands also have a practice of showing off their martial prowess to outsiders in the form of something they call Gigs, which are quite similar to the Concerts held in Orchestria (though often on a much smaller scale). These Bands roam the lands from venue to venue, with larger ones accompanied by their caravans of servants (called Roadies), and sometimes a few camp followers known as Groupies.
Ah...one of the veterans. One of the first who started it all... Lore. A kingdom. A Destiny. Heroes and Villains. A very creative community. And a game.
"So, it has truly come to this... You have slain all my closest friends and now you come for me. We hoped you would join us and put aside our grievances. We all truly did. First it was the tuba wizard, who saw good in you and hoped to teach you the arcane arts... Only for you to slay him where he stood. Then it was the gunner. He had less quarrel with you than we thought, and even tried to spare you, but after your battle it was clear whose side you were on. And now you approach me. I know full well now that you have no more mercy or sympathy in your heart anymore... I will not let you take another life! I shall give you the pain and death that my comrades had suffered in full. Now come at me, you monster! En garde!"
He was born weak; taunted by his bigger brothers: The Mage and the Heavy gunner. Desperate to prove himself, he joined the Royal Guard and trained tirelessly until he became a knight. His many battles have left him broken and weary; torn between his loyalty to the Crown and his morals. Hearing of his two brothers' deaths by your hand, he was determined to hunt you down. Even if they mocked him, they were still family.
"You made your choices back then.. and now.. Now the fate made you end here. Facing him; the mighty Tuba Knight." "You think to yourself that this is a price to be paid because of the needs of this kingdom, but you lack something." "The Tuba Knight is looking at you, waiting for your moves. He doesn't say a single word.. After all, both of you know why you're here" "Suddenly, from the room high in the wall, there is music playing... For some reason... You feel like you're not the good guy anymore." "What a shame"
“This battle is no longer for our kingdoms, but for honor as warriors. I do not wish to fight, as we share a common interest, however it must be done” *pulls out weapon* “If this is how it must be, then so be it!”
*finishes fight in winning* I will let you live another day. My kingdom will rise again. You never were meant to win. You were never meant to die either.
This kinda seems like a fight between Allies, like Tuba Knight has been your friend through the whole journey, but one outside factor has forced you both to fight to the death
"I'm sorry, my old friend. I had hoped we wouldn't be on opposite sides... but if you wish to end our King's glorious reign, I have no choice but to stop you."
He was your childhood friend, you've gone on countless adventures together. You grew apart due to your different paths, he becoming a squire, and you tending to the family shop which wasn't fairing to well due to the economical state of the brass kingdom. Years pass when your call to destiny arrived to assist in overthrowing the tyrannical Brass King, you sprung to action and pushed past all opposition through your heroes journey. You stand at the gates to the palace, nearly all aggressors eradicated. Then... he came out. "I do not wish it to end like this, old friend." You spoke. "Please... see sense and lay down your arms. It's over. There is no reason for us to fight!" He looks to you, a hint of sadness in his eye. "...I took an oath to defend this kingdom from any and all threats, no matter the cost." The sadness is quickly replaced with intent and and focus. *No matter the cost*
Tuba Knight: You have dismantled countless of my tuba brothers, I shall listen to your evil no longer. Prepare to be played by the Knight of the orchestra!
I get a "Doesn't really want to fight you, but can't go back on his own beliefs" kinda feel from this music

This theme: Actually, you're the villain.
nice
Undyne the undying theme be like:
The good ending: the main character has the stolen half of the partiture and takes it to his kingdom to restare peace and stop the war
The evil ending: the main character realizes that the partiture is too powerfull, and it can be stolen, so he tries to steal the other half of the partiture to consume its power and become the tuba-king by betraying his kingdom and anihilating the enemy kingdom
I feel more like it's a final "prove to me that you're worthy!" Theme
Just look at the Tuba Knight's fallen brother in the bottom right corner of the image. He has every right to challenge you. Has your party gone too far?
He asks you to yield, when you refuse he says only one thing. “Very well, Tu-battle”
When he kills you instead of talking trash he says "you fought valiantly" or "an honorable death"
And when you get him to 1% of health he will surrender and offer to join your party. “Stop! I yield! You are truly a better warrior than me. However to defeat my stronger comrades you’re going to need a little more tuba-power”
this is the best pun i will ever read XD

Being a hero suck. Maybe next time
To be honest, I almost cried when he said "brass yourself, old friend"
Too bad you can't spare him or something
You actually can! He can tag along your party if you choose to spare him
I can’t figure out how to get him in your party.
Yh golden heart ability makes everything easier like you spare him after winning but you are still underpowered if you choose that ability path

He îs a generic evil guy judging by the song
this is honestly the best one imo. the fact that a piece of music is able to so clearly illustrate the personality of a character that is nothing more than a picture is truly impressive. it seems like basically everyone is in agreement that Tuba Knight is a tragic antagonist, despite the fact that the character was never written. That’s how strong the music is

the power of music
Mission Ctrl Yep
this picture is freaking beautiful

Yeah his story arc had me in tears fighting him, and his soft tone and sorrow filled voice in his dialogue during the fight is painful to hear.

Tuba Knight
Elements: None
Ailments: None
Weaknesses: None
Resistances: Boss, Special
STRATEGY
Tuba Knight fights like a stronger version of the player character and has no Elemental or Status weakness, making traditional boss strategies ineffective. Attack him relentlessly when he does this to knock him out of the animation, and then he will be defeated
ATTACKS
These have been notated with the ranges he will use them at, not the ranges they can hit
-Pipe Combo (Short Range): A short 2 hit combo with the pipe in his right hand, followed by a wild flurry. Tuba Knight can roll-cancel out of the first 2 attacks so it's best to avoid those and punish the flurry. He cannot be interrupted during the flurry but he takes damage as normal. In his 2nd phase, the extra reach makes this attack difficult to avoid so keep your distance and use invulnerability frame in your Dodge to avoid being hit
-Pipe Rush (Medium Range): A backdash followed by a series of forward spin strikes ending in a stabbing lunge.
Skilled players can roll through the attack to attack from behind during the headbutt
-Valve Riposte (Any Range): A guarding stance very similar to his healing animation, distinguished by a flourish and by keeping his pipe drawn (although this can be difficult to see with it being cocked back). Attacking him in melee will result in him automatically deflecting the attack and performing a preanimated takedown move that will kill all but the toughest of players. If he's not attacked during this, he will instead perform a Pipe Rush. Circle him and heal
-Charge (Long Range): An all out rush signaled by a sudden glow and shout of "Here I come!". He is completely invincible while charging and will cause both Knockdown and Stun if he hits you on top of doing huge damage. Nigh impossible to punish unless you lure him in to a wall and even then he has a fast recovery. Try to stay close enough that he won't do this attack
-Honk Quake (Any Range): A powerful stomping honk that he will use to refresh his stamina once he reach his 2nd phase.
NOTE
Tuba Knight will suffer a reduced version of all Elements and Ailments as though he were under the effects of the appropriate item. This is in addition to the standard boss immunities and status downgrade effects (no Instant Death, Confusion downgraded to reduced range accuracy, etc)
REWARDS
Gladiator's Soul (Can be crafted into the Tuba Knight's Helm or traded in for a full stack of every status recovery item in the game)
Gladiator's Brass (Part of making the Full Brass weapon)
Gladiator's Key (Unlocks the Bloody Backstage Door)
Commander's Folio x2 (Gives Warfare XP)
Brass Chunks x2 (Crafting item)
TRIVIA
The majority of his attacks are similar to various "1-Handed and Shield" moves the player can perform, with the Valve Riposte being the most divergent (being a modified Parry), and the Charge and Honk moves being taken from Full Brass attacks.

its crazy how music can convey such a theme, like we all can agree that this is the theme of a noble hero
Tuba Knight Character Analysis:
Tuba Knight is regarded as one of the more difficult midgame bosses in the entire game and if the player chooses to, his battle can be prolonged until the near endgame in order to recruit him.

En garde!"
I’m getting a lot of undertale vibes
*edit: words
@@mikd157 *we need to make this an undertale au*
@@mikd157 the comments generally agree that the Tuba Knight plays a geno-Sans sort of role, being vengeful over the deaths of his comrades
White Face #513 *megalovania intestines*
You will get this enraged fight if you go for the genocide route
He was born weak; taunted by his bigger brothers: The Mage and the Heavy gunner. Desperate to prove himself, he joined the Royal Guard and trained tirelessly until he became a knight. His many battles have left him broken and weary; torn between his loyalty to the Crown and his morals. Hearing of his two brothers' deaths by your hand, he was determined to hunt you down. Even if they mocked him, they were still family.
This is Soo sad
Okey this is epic
Now i need the game

"You think to yourself that this is a price to be paid because of the needs of this kingdom, but you lack something."
"The Tuba Knight is looking at you, waiting for your moves. He doesn't say a single word.. After all, both of you know why you're here"
"Suddenly, from the room high in the wall, there is music playing... For some reason... You feel like you're not the good guy anymore."
"What a shame"
“This battle is no longer for our kingdoms, but for honor as warriors. I do not wish to fight, as we share a common interest, however it must be done” *pulls out weapon* “If this is how it must be, then so be it!”

This kinda seems like a fight between Allies, like Tuba Knight has been your friend through the whole journey, but one outside factor has forced you both to fight to the death

"...I took an oath to defend this kingdom from any and all threats, no matter the cost."
