Installed EGW kit in both staccato c2 and my Prodigy. I explain what I think of them and the kit. See next video on the run N gun and another on my backyard range.
Hey thanks skip! Yeah you did a great job setting the ignition up appreciate it. just decided I like a medium trigger plus like the looks a little better.
Really nice guns, maybe one day I'll reach into the Quality pistol level lol. Anyone interested in a Shield Plus performance center ported barrel with the red dot, has about 400 rounds on it so far. Obviously not a staccato but decent guns for us Pleabs. I'm looking to buy parts for my Canik Rival
The trigger is a easy fix. Get some light grit sand paper and make sure surface is even as possible. Grab some metal polish and a polishing dremel head and polish is until smooth and shiny
The C2 is looking good. Do you think the Genghis Komp is worth the money? I was thinking of going with Magna-port because it's more of a sleek look. Was it a lot of work fitting the Atlas high thumb safeties?
The comp was def worth the $. The thumb safety’s took some work but was all logic nothing difficult just time. Plenty vids explaining it but well worth the effort. I think I have a vid explaining what I did to get the safety’s to fit. If not let me know will post one.
@@awokeone7997 not at all but I just wanted to try it out and folks recommend them. I like a flat trigger so that was just a preference. The EGW kit did make the hammer lighter to pull. The thumb safety’s are a better looking and more to rest your thumb on.
@@magdumpmonday I have the STI Tactical 4.0 and the thumb safeties are not blended so I might take a look at those Atlas and maybe their thumb rest slide release as well

From a staccato? Not having to modify the OEM kit? I don’t have the JIG or stones to do that work and it needs to be precise. If you have those tools and know how I would do that.
@@jado4149 you said it yourself. Not having to “clean anything up” or maybe I just wanted to swap parts out cause I learn that way or I like the silver pretty color. Folks like Skips guns: one of several that highly recommends EGW along with folks I know personally involved in competitive shooting. So for me the benefit is I feel a difference in the trigger and the slide. I have said this before: some of us like to tinker and I’m one of those folks. “I own a jeep” therefore I tinker. @@magdumpmonday You still have to adjust the sear spring on an EGW kit though so you do have to "clean things up". I'm a huge tinkerer but implying that someone needs to throw $135 worth of parts away and replace them with equal $135 parts is nuts. On the Prodigy yes, it's an upgrade, on the Stacatto, it's a waste of money. Glad you like it but your viewers might not like wasting money.

Prodigy is entree level 2011 and there isn’t anything to compare with any staccato. I have spent $700 for parts, that not including $350 for shaving and installation of all parts.

How much barrel length on the c2 did you lose with the comp and have you noticed a sizeable lost in accuracy past 10 yards?
Not really sure I am losing much if any accuracy. It’s a pistol so I really don’t take many shots past 25. Seems good to me I think half inch maybe.

Considering I got my c2 cheaper than a prodigy. It isn’t even a debate. But the prodigy is a great gun albeit.

What benefit does the EGW ignition kit have over a modified OEM ignition where the trigger travel, break and reset have been cleaned up?

All you have to actually do with the Stacatto is adjust the sear spring. The hammer and sear are top notch. Takes about 10 minutes and it's free.

For what it is and what it cost, the Prodigy is a great piece. It's pointless to compare a $1299 pistol to a $2500 one.
Yet we all do. My comp is based on a few fixes and it runs just as good the stac. My opinion

Why would you change a staccato, cause it's not a nighthawk, atlas or infinity. Its room for improvement on staccatos.
