Dang Kia I love how you can swap thing. Like for example if you are in a job work and you have heavy stuff you can swap easily. Or if you more luxury we can switch too. Keep it up Kia
Will the smaller options be available in the United States? This would perfect for a film production van. The sprinters are way too big for what I need. 🙏🏽
Darn it KIA, that is lovely. That is actually the grown up version of the little XBUS concept. Wonder what federal regulators will do about the swappable modules, because in the EU, modules count as load, and one is not allowed to carry people in a "load". Hope that will subject to change!
@@KiaWorldwideOfficial appreciate you. I would love to hear what you are going to about the regulatory challenges. Will the first model already be able to swap modules.
This is amazing. It eliminates the need to haul a trailer behind you. When you are ready for a road trip, you just swap out the back of the car/van/truck and replace it with an RV component! So fantastic!
I can see trades loving this. All your tools in one or more modules that can be left on site or in a secure place. Then a family module to swap to after work. Mpv's that can hire our a van module for a one off stuff move. MPV to micro camper.
They were a Canoo client with access to Canoo's engineering IP a few years ago, now they're going to be allowed to fully rip them off without paying them a dime? I'm not lawyer, seems unlikely given their prior engineering relationship and the fact that Canoo's skateboard is patented.
Hyundai and Canoo to co-develop all-electric platform 12.02.2020 The companies will jointly develop an all-electric platform based on Canoo’s fully scalable, proprietary skateboard design for upcoming Hyundai and Kia electric vehicles (EVs) and Purpose Built Vehicles (PBVs) Hyundai Motor Group is doubling down on a recent commitment to invest USD 87 billion over the next five years for future growth as well as its plan to develop PBVs Google it before whining. They are partners.
First Canoo has nothing like it...... Second if they did it's not patentable..... Third is Canoo will probably be out of business before it reaches production....

Kia referring to this as Easy Swap Technology. Is ironic, since my first thought was this is battery swapping, for the body of the vehicle.
