- I recently purchased this Jet 8 inch jointer from my local Woodcraft. And before I purchased it, I didn't really see many set up tutorials or reviews of this specific jointer, so I thought why don't I make one?
Here it is: Check me out on Instagram at walkerandwood.

Great video. Is it a hassle to tighten the belts?? I saw the section, but is it a pain?
Great review. Im thinking about purchasing the same one with a helical head. What do you think is the max length of a board you can use on this jointer? I build a lot of tables and often use boards that can go up to 8ft. long.
Hi Mate, I just bought a used jointer jet 8". How do you like yours after all these years?
That thing looks like a lot of fun!! enjoy!
Urban Shop Works it sure is, thanks man
Great machine mate, if I only had enough space in my workshop for a beast like that!
Casual DIY mate it’s an animal!!
Nice jointer!! I want a jointer myself!
Thanks buddy! I totally recommend this!
Sweet new toy-I mean tool!
StudioJLT right mate? Thanks so much
Ive been thinking about buying this jointer, do you still like yours? Is there anything you dont like about it?
Hey! Yes I love it, the only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t have helical blades. Which I’m about to upgrade to
@@derekwalkerrr thanks! Can you swap the head out for a helical one? Or would you need a whole new machine
Hi. May I know where can I buy this machine to India
that thing is a beast my friend!
It sure is mate!
awsome machine! i wish i have a machine like this
thanks very much mate! Its an animal
What's the approximate footprint of the machine?
love the jointer! I just got one myself. Just a personal note, is there any reason everyone feels it's necessary to fill in non-dialogue parts of the video with the horrible youtube music? Unfortunately, I couldn't just mute it or I'd miss what you are saying.
Do you have the model of the cart?
Hey look! It's almost 2 years to the date since you posted this video:) Any chance you can tell me which holes you used for the mobile base? By that I mean which holes are the spring bolts inserted in? A count from either side or center will help a lot. Also -- I'm hearing most people attach the stand to 3/4" ply and then place that on the mobile base. Are you still using this without the plywood? If so, Do you like it this way? Thanks much.
Nice video, but music is to loud in parts of it.
Thank you! and I agree, definitely need to change that for next time
