Hey, are you sure that VP1 and VP2 are non structural proteins? I thought that they were structural proteins because they are in charge of making the new capsid of the virion.
I've had a heart muscle inflammation with high virus load in the PCR sample for B19 and the virus was persisting for months.. was a tough time.. got IVIG to reduce virus load immediately.. was lucky not to die due to a ventricular fibrillation..

I had this as an adult when I was going around with the kids. I itched like crazy for two afternoons, had arthritis and thought I was dying, or something. Finally, a nurse I knew said she thought I had this because the symptoms were totally different in adults. Awful!
Highly informative video, one question I'm 42 and my son just got over the fifth and now my heart rate is up with a slight rash and extremely sore joints my wife as well. How long does it take to best the virus and have heart rate return to normal. Thanks in advance
Hi Drone, I am not an MD and therefore can not dispense medical advice. If you are concerned about your health you should reach out to your doctor. Most viruses that do not have a latent cycle clear within approximately 2 weeks.

My doctor didnt really have an answer for me since he rarely sees adults with parvovirus. They say the sore joints last 1-3 weeks so I was figuring the virus will last the same. Thanks again.
@@DroneManiac How long did it take for the joint pain/swelling to go away in your case? I caught 5th disease from my kids.. it's been about a month and my knees still hurt.

Great video.....i am a CLS currently working in Bloodbank. We have a case who is positive for B19 and has severe pancytopenia.
If you do get this please stay away from pregnant women. I had it and now my son has brain damage

@@airbornmax If I remember correctly it took about a month. All my joints felt better in two weeks but my one shoulder took about a month.
