Great reactions!! Dan has the unique ability to POWER us through any bummers life tosses our way. In this song, we power through love lost, to discover that love triumphs, regardless of physical evidence. It's healing, to say the least. He has spiritual connection to unseen powers, & shares it with us so we, too, can experience what so often evades us during our turmoils. The way he sings Heart of Steel, for instance, is definitely another one of his straight from the heart ones. You ask for us to share our favorite cover song by him, but i am at a loss as to how to pick just one. I think, overall, his Christmas songs of pure power, his Amazing Grace, his Handel's Hallelujah, might surface as the top ones on my 100 mile long list of favorites. But then, there's also My Mother Told Me, The Song of the White Wolf, Toss A Coin, Burn Butcher Burn, and so many more. I am always happy when he covers any artist, but especially when he covers ManowaR songs. He's got us covered from Gethsemane to Ninja S*x Party. He's a special one, indeed. Then over on somebody elses channel he does the best Thunderstruck ever done. I left out too many songs, trying to provide a few examples, but, trust me, they all belong in this post.
I love Dan’s version of I’ll Make a Man Out of You from Disney’s Mulan. Dan also does collaborations with other vocalists as well and he is such a gentleman, especially when he collaborates with females. He sings Kiss From a Rose with Violet Orlandi, who is incredible, and he gives her a lot of the spotlight. The females he collabs with usually start the songs. He always gives musicians on his songs credit.

Fabulous voice, fabulous singing, fabulous guitar, and kudos to Dan and Gabriel for the great arrangement. I love that Dan slowed down for a little while, just to show that he could have sung the whole thing in the original tempo as well as in the original key. (BTW, I had my sound turned all the way up and the video (but not the comments) still sounded too quiet on your end.) Trying to pick a favorite is practically impossible, but I would probably pick Burn Butcher Burn - just wait until you experience this mind-blowing performance! Derrick J Peters deserves major credit for his epic guitar playing in this Dan Vasc (notice the correct spelling) song. Vasc is a shortened version of his last name (Vasconcelos). Dan had to do one short verse in the original pace to show he could do it and then says enough of that takes it fast again.
