Dear Richard. You can never go wrong with Dan. For me Amazing Grace, Bring me to life and The Sound of Silence are the ones that hit me right in the guts. But every cover on his Channel is a next level experience. He can do whatever he wants with his voice and he gives a new life to every song he sings. I'm sure you will go down another rabbit hole with Dan...and both you and Johnny will love it. 🤘

"Amazing Grace"
I’m glad you’ve discovered the phenomenal Dan. But- very important, he does NOT metalize everything by any means. Dan has extensive classical as well as metal training, and sings everything from ballads to Broadway to Christmas to 80s rock to folk songs to opera. If he metalizes an ordinary song, he states that. So if you check out Scarborough Fair you’ll see that it’s absolutely straight. (And beautiful.) So is The Music of the Night, or Faithfully (Journey), or Nessun Dorma. But his metalized songs are brilliant- his Witcher covers, especially Burn Butcher Burn, Seal’s A Kiss from a Rose (duet)! Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, Angels We Have Heard on High, and the stunning Amazing Grace, to name a few. And don’t worry- he’s very careful about his voice (he even taught voice for a while years ago), so I’m sure his recent bodybuilding obsession won’t hurt it. He set out when he was 20 to become a great singer, and he’s accomplished that. You just need more exposure to grasp how great! Thanks - I’m looking forward to more Dan on your channel.

Great reaction. New subscriber here. I'm a proud member of "Vasc Nation" ever since hearing Dan's release of Amazing Grace in April of last year. You mentioned his cover of Scarborough Fair - which is awesome (but he doesn't 'metalize' it -- he also does some acoustic music). Seriously though, pick anything from Dan's catalog and you won't be disappointed. He could sing the phone book and it would still be amazing. Another reactor (Viking Reacts) frequently says that, "Dan becomes the song." He's so right. Looking forward to more reactions to Dan's music.

I'm glad you have finally discovered Dan Vasc! For shock value, a good one would be Bring Me to Life by Evanescence, but he has so many other amazing ones! Bohemian Rhapsody is amazing, as well as Hallelujah Chorus ( One Man Choir). Just subscribed to your channel. Been watching your Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci reactions for a while now. :)
If you want to see his breath control, you must check out his Black Wind Fire and Steel cover!! Also his Thunderstruck cover with the band Orion's reign is amazing as well! For a fun one to see his personality, a must watch is Pour Some Sugar on me (Trip to the Beach)

You were close with your guesses on his influences,😉😉 but there's a video he did on that, and it's Manowar and Eric Adams, Helloween and Michael Kiske, Rhapsody and Fabio Lione and Angra and André Matos. In fact, I found Dan's channel years ago looking for Manowar covers. There's a duet with Fabio on Dawn of Victory. John can tell you about that one... 😁😁🤘
So glad John brought Dan Vasc to your attention. If you like choral music Dan's cover of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus, with 24 Dans, covering all vocal parts is, imo, epic. Enjoyed this reaction very much. Dan doesn’t use back up singers which leads me to believe he works his genius ass off. Some people have said he does but emphatically no. Even when you listen to some of his older videos, he was amazing back then. Hallelujah from Handel’s Messiah and Bohemian Rhapsody are examples. Dan does all the backup singing! His capabilities to sing so many genres is mind blowing.

My suggestions for the next songs: "Bring me to life", "Oh Holy Night" or „Music of the Night“.
I agree with everything said in comments. His vocals are powerful and clear. you will find that you can't just react to one song, once you fall in the rabbit hole you will not want to go back. He can sing any any genre as you will quickly see. Dan doesn't just sing the song, he is the song and puts every bit of emotion into the words weather it a ballad or upbeat tune he makes it his own. Looking forward to many more reactions.

Dan does have classical training as well. He has worked so hard for many years to hone his skills to precision & perfection. His determination, drive and work ethic are just a few of his many amazing qualities.

I am so glad that John introduced you to Dan Vasc. You have only touched the tip of the iceberg (pardon the pun) in regards to his vocal skills. Amazing Grace is how I found him and his version is considered by just about everyone who hears it, to be the best they have every heard. I'll Make a Man Out of You is so much fun and so masterfully done, I know you will love it. His Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar is spectacular and Broadway worthy. Dan recently in a live stream said that he does work out some before he sings his music so it gives him his muscles that pumped up look and I’m sure because it’s warmed up then he has more flexibility

Also, It's My Life, Always, okay this is getting too long - just do Dan's entire youtube Playlist!!! Well worth the listen! And I'm a 70 year old lady who has never listened to Heavy Metal until Dan showed up on my feed a year ago. Dan has a large vocal range. When he covers A Million Dreams from Greatest Showman he does both voices. Wuthering Heights is done in a high voice. He even sings Hallelujah from Handel's Messiah as a full choir!

Dan is a force of nature. He's got all the power he could ever want on tap, but is so damn precise and controlled, metering out that shear vocal displacement in just the right delivery. He does this without the slightest show of effort or strain... just for fun!
Honestly, this cover you just watched is one of his LEAST polished. It's amazing, but when it comes to truly showing off Dan's talents, you should watch some of his other work.
