- My Dad's Azera. Just wanted to do a 0-60 run to compare it to my old car (2001 Toyota Celica GT auto with a CAI and exhaust) and my new car (2002 Nissan Maxima SE). I got about 7 seconds.

0-60 really improves when you push it over to manual mode. Its a stupidly quick car for its class.

@Xbox360Player350 I borrowed my moms friends and was suprised when i accidently pressed too hard.....they got power....just gotta make the things less beastly. is it a 3.3 or a 3.8 V6? (the limited has a 3.8)

I have a 2006 Azera limited, and one of the first things I noticed was how quick it was.
@fd3srules Really? For me it always upshifted before redline whether it was in D or the manual gate.

I've got a 2011 Sonota Limited... Traded in a 07 Azera, the sonota is nice and I love it, just wish I would have traded in my van instead of the azera!
I reached 125mph then I ran outta road absolutely a sleeper. Once you get the gears down and shift yourself trust me you're gona like how sporty it feels. I'm actually thinking about buying another 07. I got to race mine in street heat think 2018 in Minnesota at the state fair grounds shhhhh I joined a convoy on the way out and we raced through the back of the grounds and everyone cheered us on even though we weren't supposed to be back there 🤣 pure fun we raced outta there and onto the highway. I even drove this car through a blizzard mind you i could only go 40mph 4 hour drive turned to 8 hours with my bumper pushing new snow but yeah she will get you there. I had to bust the ice off underneath the car as it was freezing my steering colum and I could feel it getting hard to turn the wheel. The snow was slushy and the constant wind with the cold caused the ice to incase the whole front of the car as i was driving. Very Very fucking reliable as i was out front leading 3 trucks 2 suvs and 2 semi trucks. It was hard reading korean to find the oil plug but I'd take that over changing the gasket heads on the Kia Sorento every time iykyk
i love my azera, i feel priveleged to own an underdog haah

@@maxwellemmanuel837 Hyundai is known for reliability especially with the Azera model. I highly recommend this car.
But you can get a Lincoln town car with around the same reliability.. and same MPG. The town car has a truck frame. So in a way, you could jump a curb with the Town Car and not hurt the frame but in the Azera it could hurt the subframe. Just saying

I have a 2011 Limited 3.8 Gold color that only had 19k on it when I got it 3 years ago, this car has not given me any major problems. I've had to replace the battery, cv axles and upper control arms....Let's say not a sport car at all but do turn some heads since there are barely in the area I live in. Definitely a very fun car to drive especially on the highway!
I just bought a 2008 from the proverbial old lady. Hopefully holds up well.
@fd3srules Lol yeah the rear vents are pretty weak in the 2008s too. And Idk, I think it should upshift at redline whenever you're flooring the gas, especially in the manual mode. It puts you closer to the power peak in the next gear so you don't bog.
@Xbox360Player350 Hmmm, I've driven an 07' 3.8.
The 07' didnt have XM radio, or a navi screen in the dash. On the 07' it would automatically shift at around 6.75, there is no point in letting it go that high, because your peak power comes in at around 5600 on the 3.8.
Does the rear air vents in this model barely blow any air? The ones in the center console facing backwords seemed to blow air like an asthmatic blowing through a straw.
I have a 2011 hyundao azera and the rear vents don't blow how they should
It's my Dad's car, so I don't get to drive it too often. But if it helps, the engine is nearly silent in normal driving. It growls a little above 3,000 RPM. I wish it was a little louder.
My mother has an azera and boy is that thing peppy when you want it to be, dont floor it in the rain!!!

@Xbox360Player350 The traction controll is pretty good in these cars. The best way I can describe it is that it has much more weight over it's drive wheels, and the electronic throttle body in the genesis is not as responsive as a cable type as in the 1st gen azera. Yeah, my grandfather owns an azera, and hes pretty old. XD
No problem. If you like sporty cars, I don't know if you would like driving an Azera. It kind of feels like a boat. And yes, it's pretty quick, but it really doesn't like being rushed.

Man I really love the car, I just bought an 2008 3.3 liters azera.... I got shocked when I floored it, I'm in truly love with this car.

I doubt it.. 3.8 stock Azera 07 would still gap a turbo sonata 😭

@Xbox360Player350 Yeah, but these cars are pretty strong and have a nice torque curve, so you don't really have to worry about bogging down. Saw a VIP azera on the stanceworks forum, maybe you should check it out.
@fd3srules This is really interesting haha I always see old people driving Azeras. I thought the FWD layout would give it less traction than the Genesis models though
The tires spin on fwd slams. Even if you start stepping on it at 15mph.

My 06 azera does about 6.4 seconds with bald tires and esc off ahaha I just did a cold air intake and muffler/ resonator and 3rd cat delete... I'm getting slight hesitation so I'm working on that I do Believe it's my ecu though
