The machine settings (pressures, pump flow, computer) were set by Ponsse about a year ago in the same way all machines they set up are done and I have checked it occasionally to make sure pressures and flow are still set at the proper place. The only thing I changed was adding a bit more flow to the saw motor because it was running out of power in some situations. Paying attention to all those little things keeps a machine running at maximum efficiency in my opinion. Pressures should be checked every 500-1000 hours and once a year or after saw motor or feed motor changes the saw and feed motor speeds should be checked with a photo tachometer to make sure they are not running to fast or to slow.
Focus on smooth and efficient operation and don't worry about production, that will come with time. And if you can find experienced operators you can ride with or watch. Doesn't matter if they run a different brand, you can learn from them.
@@ponsseguy Thanks for the reply. Yeah I’ll be getting coached you can say by the boss of it all. He knows I have never ran one but have ran a couple excavators if that counts for something lol he said it will take me a whole day to load 1 trailer. I’m so excited been binge watching ponsee videos
