Barbarian Challenge (Waterfall!!) June 15, 2024 8am Wave Full Race

- First thing: the cover photo isn’t from the actual race, but they had a rope climb challenge in front of the waterfall the day before the race. That was pretty cool!
Barbarian is just a great race and is one of my favorites. Thank goodness a lot of it is shaded and there’s water, because it was HOT! The course was very close to the same as last year, so I got to see how much slower I am now that my training has taken a back seat 😂
There was a point early on where you choose to go left or right, with one direction being a longer run than the other. Apparently the lead pack went left, which was longer, so I got to see speedy people run past me confused later in the race. They thought they got lost on the course, but they were just unlucky I guess.
Overall, I ran a clean race, which I needed. My speed definitely isn’t there right now, and my last couple races, I really did poorly on obstacles too. One day I’ll post those videos, but Frontline is just hours of me failing an obstacle until my batteries ran out 😬 Don’t have a lot of time lately to go through all of that, but maybe one day. Next race isn’t for a while, so i have time to get my act together! I do love racing though and can’t wait!

Thanks! Baby is keeping me busy, but I’ll try to get frontline done soon. Don’t have the whole race because I got stuck at the rope rig and low rig and both batteries I had ran out 😬
