i wouldn’t be surprised if they toned down the physics for the game. they took up a big chunk of the performance issues that the game had back in the day but it would be amazing if they found a way to make the game run smooth with the physics
Wich honestly is more than enough for GTA IV. You don't want to risk them porting it over to the GTAV version of the engine and dumb down the pyshics. GTA IV has by far the best physics of ANY GTA game ever. GTAV's physics are a joke in comparison.

After this, I don't trust them, I didn't before but it would be incredibly naive to think they would be able to pull it off after this. If your remaster is worse than one of the worst remasters why would I trust you with a remake from the same series? No, unless they give that to a studio who knows what they are doing I don't trust them not to screw it up, and that goes for Mafia as well.

Then again, all it will really be is a port so it's simple just pass it to someone else to do it, they don't have to change anything except tweak the lighting and upscale the textures, it might end up being less work than the trilogy since that was an older game and everything got ported to a different engine. It just depends on how comfortable Rockstar is with a "strange visitor" fiddling with their game engine.

It would be cool to see a definitive edition of GTA IV, with all three games included. GTA IV is my favorite game and I’d like to see that trilogy of games get a treatment like the GTA Trilogy got. GTA 4 already has pretty good graphics, got me wondering what they are even going to do, the big reason a lot of people don't play the game is lack of content, no flyable planes, short story, no mod shops for cars, no garages, no good offroad spots, no military base, ect...
if they ever gonna remaster gta 4 i want the game to have: - weapon selection wheel - radio wheel - Liberty City Customs - car handling tweaks (i love the realistic handling but a few tweaks and improvements would be good) - focus more on online mod wanna traverse the city and fight at the airport again with the bois - graphics improvement (the game shouldn't lose its originality and dark atmosphere) - should be well optimized
The Vice City footage you use is really cool. I thought the remastered games would look like that, but I'm cool with the new polished old style too. It shows how diverse people's tastes are. The new trilogy seems to be getting a lot of backlash, but I'm really digging it. It's better than playing the original games now to me, so anything newer is better imo.
7:47. in the intro of Vice City, we do NOT see that exact plane, that is infact the same one from GTA IV on the poster that says FLYUS with all the same colors and wing shape. the one in Vice City and Vice City Definitive Edition is very clearly a different plane with a different front, wings and no paint job....
The billboard may mean that they changed “Miami” to “Soon” because this time Vice City isn’t the next game or it could mean that Liberty City Stories remaster
GTA 4 on pc stills looks amazing and still is a amazing, the graphics are pretty much gta 5 graphics if you have it maxed out just a bit lower resolution but for a game released on the Xbox 360 and ps3, it’s deff holds up a lot more compared to the og games on ps2 compared to gta4. Gta 4 still has better graphics then these remasters as well. Don’t really see a need to do that but Im for it. Better to jus play it on pc and have iron man mod

They won't do quite the same because GTA IV isn't that dated. For the trilogy they had to remake the games in a newer engine (but they made a mess of that) because the old one was too outdated, while for IV they only need to update the original engine to run fine on newer platforms with 60 fps at higher resolutions. They might tweak stuff like lighting, but that is not as essential as having a solid frame rate (something they couldn't achieve so far with the trilogy).
Yeah, they aren't optimal. There are some clear technical issues with them. But alltough there are some more quality of lives changes that would have gone a long way. On the Gameplay side it's still a massive improvement. The terrible controls is why i never beat GTA III and Vice City back in the day. But aside from GTA III's legacy issues, the Definetive Edition was much easyer to get trough thanks to those small changes such as the new controler layout and the free aim that made ti far easyer to cheese the really hard parts. So yeah, it could have been better. But once they iron out the bugs and performance issues it'll be an OK package in my opinion. Preferable to the originals.
I think they just wanted to take out references to real world things just like they changed ‘zombie Elvis found’ to ‘zombie rocker found’ on the newspaper in gta3
i mean although it’s kinda a possibility that GTAIV can be remastered and GTAVI can be in vice city.. who knows what if they are both in GTAVI (which would be cool ngl going from one city/climate to another) especially since Miami and NYC are both East Coast cities that could maybe work for a wider story line? also looking at the GTAV map it be possible they can maybe fit both just make it a little bigger(or if they add the Caribbean) ? I think they're literally just teasing GTA V Expanded & Enhanced on this billboard. Then in GTA V they might tease GTA IV Definitive Edition, and then in GTA IV I'm hoping that they tease GTA VI.
To me what they should have done was to implement GTA Online Mode similar to the one in GTA 5 with deathmatches,racing/survival etc. It just that it would be in liberty city instead of taking multiplayer out completely. They would still be able to make money if people bought shark cards to set up their businesses on GTA IV Online.
Guys! I've just found out! According to both TezFunz2 and Kotaku, Rockstar Games has put GTA IV Remaster, RDR1 Remaster and RDR2 for PS5 and Xbox Series S and X on hold because of not only the negative reception of GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, but also they are shifting towards the development of GTA 6.
One thing is for sure- GTA IV will have proper definitive edition. multiple reasons for that- one is that models are already high poly, another one is that they are remastering something that runs on RAGE and that's their turf :D
Why would GTA IV need to be remastered? Game still looks and feels better than most games these days. I would even say it plays better than GTA V... I think those teases might imply that Liberty city will be soon ported into GTA V? Perhaps something similar to Cayo Perico DLC.

The gta trilogy DE is basically a mod by grove street games, considering it wasn’t made by rockstar. So rockstar removed all mods and forced people to buy this mod.
They need to fix the first remasters lol. Programming logic push, push, push.. They are failing to fixed all the code they pushed in a period of time. It's like rockstar is like it works right? "testers: yeah sure" without stress testing everything
Looking at the GTA San Andreas, Vice City, and #3 remastered versions of the games, it would be fitting to add them back into the GTA 4 and 5 canon. Although Liberty City and San Andreas from the 3D trilogy look different than the HD counterpart, Rockstar Games could potentially just write in retcons or something else.
Are we ever going to get GTA 1, London and 2 rereleased on current consoles or just get a complete GTA Collection with every the game in their original versions, that would be cool

If gta iv was remastered it will have more gta v graphics then the Trilogy remasters because gta is is apart of the 3d era

I think they're literally just teasing GTA V Expanded & Enhanced on this billboard. Then in GTA V they might tease GTA IV Definitive Edition, and then in GTA IV I'm hoping that they tease GTA VI.
To me what they should have done was to implement GTA Online Mode similar to the one in GTA 5 with deathmatches,racing/survival etc. It just that it would be in liberty city instead of taking multiplayer out completely. They would still be able to make money if people bought shark cards to set up their businesses on GTA IV Online.

Guys! I've just found out! According to both TezFunz2 and Kotaku, Rockstar Games has put GTA IV Remaster, RDR1 Remaster and RDR2 for PS5 and Xbox Series S and X on hold because of not only the negative reception of GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, but also they are shifting towards the development of GTA 6.
One thing is for sure- GTA IV will have proper definitive edition. multiple reasons for that- one is that models are already high poly, another one is that they are remastering something that runs on RAGE and that's their turf :D

Why would GTA IV need to be remastered? Game still looks and feels better than most games these days. I would even say it plays better than GTA V...
I think those teases might imply that Liberty city will be soon ported into GTA V? Perhaps something similar to Cayo Perico DLC.
I don’t know if you remember few months back rockstar said they was releasing 5 games between the now and the end if 2022 I think. Something like that.

0:33 the only reason they did that to the trilogy is because the trilogy was in the 3d universe and had to be remade, gta 4 is set in the hd universe so all they have to do is add some gta 5 graphics and that's it

GTA 4 multiplayer server is still online I was playing it in my ps3 just a couple weeks ago it’s so funny. Brings back A bunch of memories.

The gta trilogy DE is basically a mod by grove street games, considering it wasn’t made by rockstar. So rockstar removed all mods and forced people to buy this mod.

Looking at the GTA San Andreas, Vice City, and #3 remastered versions of the games, it would be fitting to add them back into the GTA 4 and 5 canon. Although Liberty City and San Andreas from the 3D trilogy look different than the HD counterpart, Rockstar Games could potentially just write in retcons or something else.
Are we ever going to get GTA 1, London and 2 rereleased on current consoles or just get a complete GTA Collection with every the game in their original versions, that would be cool
