Shin vs Godfrey, First Elden Lord (Memory Shade) - Elden Ring (Re:Play)

There's a lot to be said about this fight, and I don't know where to begin. On many levels it'll throw you for a loop because not only does the fight come up VERY unexpectedly, but it's the... FIRST Elden Lord.
Like... this is kind of a big deal. This is THE Godfrey whom Marika cast out before taking Radagon as her second husband and Second Elden Lord, and yet he just sort of... shows up. No big announcement or ceremony. No cutscene.
And it's just a ghost of him, or rather I guess you'd say a memory, just like when we fought Loretta at Caria Manor. Since both of these warriors are no longer defending their original station, these memories act as sentry defenses, being just a fraction of what the originals were capable of.
And yet, I dig it.
I love this fight. I don't get this sensation often, but Godfrey feels like a boss with actual flow and rhythm to him. I would take this over Margit, and Godfrey's MUCH stronger than him. It's just the flow makes it feel more satisfying, and easier.
