AKG C520 microphone unboxing and brief review 2021

AKG C520 is a condenser headset microphone. I made this video to help other potential buyers who want to a have closer look at this microphone before buying. When I was looking at buying this microphone, I could not find good images or videos of this mic. So I decide to make this video when I bought it. Soon, I will do a review of the mic's applications, including stage and studio recording applications.

I play keyboard and have same prob.got a different one but it falls off and have to wear a hat to hold it,now I,m fine and its normal 1/4 and use thru with a reverb unit

I'm glad you found a way to work around it. They are just so much more convenient than the traditional mics.

@@sidmaksounds6282 They are yes but a stage mic I can pull closer or push away to react to my voice rise and fall .however by using a compressor I get round this and use a cheap guitar pedal compressor because a guitar matches the human range.

True. Both have pros and cons. The headset mic can be inconvenient if you want to clear your throat 'away from the mic'.

phantom power, what do you use?

I use the USB audio interface (Scarlett 2i2) when recording at home and Yamaha MG12XU mixer for stage/live performances. Both of these have phantom power.

No, this model is wired. There is a wireless model of the same microphone available.
