  • PTZ Camera is a type of security camera that allows the user to monitor a large area by controlling the direction the camera is looking in, and the ability to zoom in using a motorized optical zoom lens on the camera. Installing a PTZ camera requires the use of proper cable with sufficient gauge copper to ensure proper voltage and amperage is provided to the camera and a good video signal is transmitted the length of the wire. In this video we show which type of cable to not use with your PTZ camera, and which cable you should use. Normally for a ptz to be moved it needs to be connected to an RS485 port. You didt explain that here

Modern HD Coax PTZ cameras receive commands through the coaxial cable. With our PTZs and DVRs RS485 is not necessary.
