I'm really glad you mentioned they have separate gobo and color wheels, because that's the make and break deciding factor for me when it comes to trying to pick between small-form factor lighting fixtures. Thx for the great review!
Glad you liked! Thanks for the comment 🙏
great breakdown, you sold me on the chauvet 160, the totem mode is a must, i do not want lights pointing towards me or behind me
💪
i like the pro. nice. i might pick it up for this year
Definitely! :-)
Thank you for this great information! Good job.
Thanks for the comment! We are glad to help! 😃 ❤ 🙏
I like the Pocket Pro the most. The PowerCON is very convenient and it definitely seems the most well-made of these three. The replaceable GOBOs are also very important in my opinion. I’d also like to point out that the DMX ports on these are the highest quality.
Edit: The Pocket Pros do have a “totem mode” feature. Some of the show modes will only point the light in front.
Does the chauvet have the same size projection gobo effect than the pocket pro or is it any bigger
The Chauvet has 2 degrees more on the beam angle and is also brighter.
ADJ: Pocket Pro Beam Angle: 15° & 25W LED source
CHV: Intimidator Spot 160 ILS Beam Angle: 17° & 32W LED source
Can these be control via a controller and if so which controller would be ideal l?
I spent countless hours in emails and phone calls to try and find a supplier who has replacement gobos for the Pocket Pro. I finally found one in Canada that would make a glass replacement for over 200 dollars and about 100 bucks for each additional one. If you actually know a supplier anywhere that can make these gobos according to the specs in the user manual, then please tell me who they are! Thanks, Brian
Hello Brian,
you can check out apollodesigns.net
thx
can you change the watts on them or not ?
Hello HissingPie,
normally you cannot or should not just upgrade rather. but if you want to venture in doing so on your own will you would have to also upgrade the power supply and board. at that point might as well upgrade over all.
Thx
I have tried most and Chauvet usually has the best feel of quality and metal rather than plastic in these price ranges. Shame they don't produce the 160 in the UK, in fact good luck finding any Chauvet moving heads in the UK they just don't seem to be selling them anymore.
I just picked up a 160 second hand for £100, they’re available online with the 160 ILS
I have 8 Pocket Pros and they are terrific little workers. I nave never been disappointed by them. However, I am looking now at buying some Colour Key Mover Spot 100s. They have an 80 Watt Led, motorized focus. prism wheel and other features that really blow these three out of the water! And at $500.00, It's the best band for the buck... on paper. Has anyone used these yet? Then there's the Jmaz Attco Spot 100 with a 75 watt led and motorized focus and a number of other great features and Prism. Has anyone had a chance at these yet?
The Chauvet 160 is the best. I've always preferred Chauvet movers over ADJ as the programming and IR remote are better.
Both brands have great products! Glad you're enjoying the 160s :)
@@idjnow-gear-up I don't have 160s yet. If I were to buy Chauvet movers I'd probably get either the 360s of the R1x spots.
Can't go wrong with either!!
😚🤣😃😏🤗😅no
All talk... no show! So sad😢
