This Batman has lost Jason Todd, his marriage with Selina Kyle, his hope dwindling at best, his rage dulled his detective roots. His trauma from all the pain from losing Robin & his never-ending war on crime for over 20 years. It's important to note that THIS Bruce DOESN'T have Nightwing or Tim Drake to help him through all his trauma. Alfred isn't enough even if he means everything to Bruce. It's always interesting to me that Snyder starts off with a worn down Batman & added him into the end of MOS which triggered his trauma & vengeful sorrow about his war on crime.
