How to Make Homemade Lemonade

You only need sugar, water, and lemons to make this classic drink recipe.

Ingredients
6 cups water divided (1.4liter)
1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice¹ seeds removed, pulp may remain (236ml)
Instructions
00:00 Introduction
00:23 Combine 1 cup (236ml) water and 1 cup sugar in a small saucepan. Place over medium-low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside, allow to cool for 10 minutes.
01:50 Pour 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice into a pitcher. Add sugar/water mixture (simple syrup).
02:18 Add remaining 5 cups (1420ml) water and stir well. Pour over ice and serve, or transfer to refrigerator and allow to chill several hours before serving.
Notes
¹I really recommend fresh squeezed, but my brother often makes this recipe using bottled lemon juice with success.

Sugar Spun Run I don’t have a food processor for the carrots but I do have a grater. Which side do I use?
You want the pieces to be relatively small but you don’t want them to be too fine. If you can get them to close to the size you see in the video, that’s the best. 😊

I'm not sure how it would taste but if you like the flavor of lemon and honey it's definitely worth a shot. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I just use the lemons I get from the grocery store. Meyer lemons are sweeter so would probably be good. :)
1:1 simple syrup doesn't require heating to dissolve the sugar. Just simply stir the mix until dissolved.
I'm not saying it's impossible to get it dissolved, but I definitely think this is the quickest and easiest way to do it. :)
