Most are, but this one doesn't seem to be that bad. The animals LOOK pretty healthy and fine. In other road side ones you can see they're sickly and sad.
The Capital of Texas Zoo is a non-profit zoo that currently has over 50 rescued animals and also has a breeding program for endangered species. www.capitaloftexaszoo.org
The problem isn't the zoos. Its these idiots that buy exotic animals and when they get too big just release them to the wild( see south Florida python snake problem). Zoos mostly house endangered animals or rehab injured animals. How can anyone comment about this zoo without knowing the backstory. See Planet of the Apes, if you want to see the animals revenge:)
The Lawn Care Nut I agree; the animal enclosures were not in good shape. Adam The Woo it was still a good video, and my criticism of the zoo itself is not a reflection on you sir.
They have to have permits to have all those animals. This means they have regular inspections. So I guess they pass inspections. But they do look crappy. Remember this is a wild life sanctuary surviving on donations, not a City Zoo.
Those poor animals.... all that pacing means they are miserable and bored.... and the place looks awful... the way that lion went after the food and the others.... shows they are STARVING! Those animals need to be rescued! By a place where they will have lots of room to run and play..... that made me sad.... the first time one of your vlogs has actually made me cry..... please.... help those poor animals.... turn that place in!
read the comment by Sara carter above..most of those animals are rescue animals. They would not survive in the wild if released, so that is not an option.
That was a fabulous time in Texas! I laughed a bunch...yard art...and you knew what we were thinking...are those petunias...i belly laughed! Thanks you two wild and crazy guys👊
I've been to the metal yard art shop! it was a family tradition to go down there every summer before it closed a little while back. I still have a vulture and a roadrunner statue that was bought there
Thanks Adam, another fun one. Texas is one of the only states you can own wild animals. They looked pretty good and fed well. Stay safe out there you two!!! Got my WOO FIX for the day!!!!😀😀😀
LOVED it! We re-watched your Texas 7-day BBQ challenge vlogs while the country is in isolation mode. We live out near Lake Bastrop so we particularly enjoyed this episode. Updates on the "Bastrop Chickens"...approx 1 year ago, give or take, the City decided to set safe traps to catch and relocate the Bastrop Chickens. So, they're slowing leaving town. And, if you every find yourself back here in Bastrop, Texas hankerin' for some BBQ, you must eat at Billy's BBQ. Family owned and operated 37 years, it's our favorite local BBQ. Food and ambiance is the best. In fact, after viewing your BBQ challenge vlogs today, we must have BBQ and we're supporting Billy's BBQ with a pick-up order. Again, thanks for all you do to bring us travel and history. Keep up the awesome work. Have a blessed day!
1st day of vacay, and starting out with piping fresh Woo- happy Friday, one and all! My parents love them some horseshoes, so watching y'all play made me proud. Seeing that zoo was awesome and scary, man, those cats can move!
Really enjoyed your vlog Adam. So nice seeing Jacob with you. I am loving your bbq adventure. Looking forward to what tomorrow may bring. Hope there is a fantastic turn out at the meet up on Sunday.
There used to be a little private zoo up near Muncie, IN that I would see travelling around for work. It unfortunately isn't open anymore. I wouldn't expect to see something as rare as that white tiger in a little place like that. Great find!
Did you notice that the tiger didn't have enough room and was pacing because it was going out of its mind? Greed made these people abuse this magnificent creature that just needs proper conditions and enough room. The people running this place aren't taking care of these animal properly.
I have been watching some of your and the carpet baggers older videos and you guys rock..... keep up the great work. LOVE YA GUYS.. When your in southern Missouri look me up I can show ya what real BBQ is .
OMG Gilbert Grape one of my favourites.Wish you'd had more time to see a few more locations, but loved it anyway.See you tomorrow Adam and Jacob,,from the UK. =)
Good morning Adam and Jacob. Hope you have another great day today. And Adam, I'm still hoping for a meet and greet up here in the Hershey PA area when you come back around. Safe travels.
i know this is today...but yesterday's Vlog may have been one of your best ever.....top 10 for sure!!! Great stuff.....glad carpetbagger is a good sport!!! Have a blessed day!
8:09 - Massachusetts just started that months ago when they got rid of the manned toll booths, they call it "Pay by Plate". If you don't have a "Fast Lane" or "E-ZPass transponder account, they take a picture of your license plate at each electronic toll and bill you. The bill is sent to the registered owner's address. It's a fairly straight forward, the tolls end up being slightly higher, but their late fee policy sucks.
Good morning boys! I'm never up early enough to catch these freshly posted lol. That zoo was awesome sauce btw! How random to find it so far out, but that's just the best thing about what you're doing. I hope you both have a magical day and enjoy your BBQ!
People in the comments saying that the animals are starving need to calm down. Clearly just by looking at their bodies, you can tell they aren't starving. My dog reacts the same whenever she's about to be fed. What is sad is the small enclosures and lack of stimulation these animals are forced to live with. Road side zoos are cruel and need to be outlawed.
Kim Love, you are right. those animals don't have enough space or proper living situations. They are being abused for $$. This is not a sanctuary. People like this get away with it because good people make excuses for this abuse.
almost all of these places actually have those animals because they have been RESCUED from abuse. They can't just be let into the wild when they've been held hostage their entire lives. My GF works are a wolf sanctuary. They don't get state money so they have to provide tours for operating funds. Every animal they have was either rescued from someone who had them tied up in their yard, or it was shot/injured by a hunter/farmer. In any case its a good thing. They are helping these animals.
Unfortunately they seemed to be getting into lots of Twitter fights with people too: Old Navy, delivery people, 13 year old girls that used a picture of theirs, some podcast guy, on and on. I kind of enjoy a positive vibe from vloggers, personally.
There are 13 species of wild parrots in Southern California-several are endangered Amazonia varieties-the screechy one is the Mexican Green-lots of those in Beverly Hills
Wata awesome vlog, loved the zoo n it's nice u wit Jacob eating bbq n giving ur reviews, always look 4wrd to ur vlogs, always interesting n informative, safe travels Adam n Jacob : )

Definitely think that zoo needs a upgrade on its enclosures and maybe some visits from the state to make sure it's up to code. Hopefully people are right about it being a "rescue" place.

Adam the reason for all the parrots in and around the Pasadena area of C.A. Is due to my childhood neighbor. I was raised in San Marino moved to south Pasadena as a child back in the early 80s The neighbor next to us raised parrots. The birds got out and started to breed for many years they were only around the Pasadena area.
I have to say that seeing those big cats go crazy like that when he was about to feed them made my wife and I both say "HOLY SH*T" We were not expecting to see the animals, but I'm sure it was pretty neat to see them get fed at the time.
Those wild parrots you've seen flying around Anaheim are actual descendants of the ones that escaped from Lion Country Safari in Irvine when they forgot to reclip their wings after they grew back
That zoo reminded me of a steak place in Texas I saw covered on TV. Like a 10 pound steak challenge, you get it free if you can eat it in an hour... some baseball player managed to eat it in 16 minutes... but the all-time record was the steak being eaten in just 3 minutes... when the local zoo brought over their Tiger... gulp!
That zoo looks terrible. They should be living in the wild or rehomed at a sanctuary, poor things. Bored out of their minds and begging for food. :( makes me sad seeing stuff like that.
Get to "County Line Barbecue" before you leave the area!! It's 9.5-10 EASY!! The location off hwy 2222 next to and overlooking the little river is the best location.
i remember when i was a kid living in Texas we had a field trip to somewhere called Dinosaur Valley. Can't quite remember what the Dinosaur part of it was, but i think you could drive through areas where there were giraffes that would stick their head in your car and such.
I think I would use some time of pole when feeding the lion, tiger and panthers. You need to visit the Little Ponderosa when you come back to the Knoxville / Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area. I'm so jealous you didn't have a meetup when you were here.
I can't do zoo's anymore. It kills me to see these beautiful animals caged up!!
totally agree don't like them at all they're all bad but think the road side ones are the worse
Most are, but this one doesn't seem to be that bad. The animals LOOK pretty healthy and fine. In other road side ones you can see they're sickly and sad.
JerryJames doesn't kill me as much as some poachers killing them for fake Viagra and other ignorant shit.
Sorry, but these animals are imprisoned. They may look fine and healthy, but i could guarantee you that they are not. They are suffering. Very sad!
I have to admit, that makes me upset even more!
That zoo is going to end up on Dateline NBC episode with Keith Morrison, I can feel it.

But at least I care about animals, without insulting anyone for no reason. Have a nice day.
Mr. Bigglesworth try telling that to some of the tree hugger in the comments, who don't want to hear facts or anyone else views
Then animals are fine. Just another PETA worshipper.

what key does the keeper use for the lion cage. a mon-key.

That zoo is depressing :(

Love your videos man!(: great work!
Great video Adam, the male white tiger was marking his territory by spraying. That was his way of tell you guys that he is in charge here.
A Plethora of goodness! Love you two!
Really enjoyed your vlog Adam. So nice seeing Jacob with you. I am loving your bbq adventure. Looking forward to what tomorrow may bring. Hope there is a fantastic turn out at the meet up on Sunday.
it's great for us to see those wonderful animals so close but it's kind of sad for them, no?
great video!! :)
There used to be a little private zoo up near Muncie, IN that I would see travelling around for work. It unfortunately isn't open anymore. I wouldn't expect to see something as rare as that white tiger in a little place like that. Great find!
Jim Schuck ..I thought the same thing about that white tiger...I was amazed to see it there

Justin Smith is another idiot

Charlie Brown Yes I laughed out loud!
Watch the Carpetbagger video. Adam does an absurd but hilarious Tim Tracker impersonation. Love these guys.
TheTimTracker Hard to watch them anymore since the crying Liberal Hillary lost video!
Unfortunately they seemed to be getting into lots of Twitter fights with people too: Old Navy, delivery people, 13 year old girls that used a picture of theirs, some podcast guy, on and on. I kind of enjoy a positive vibe from vloggers, personally.

Yea those are quacker parrots . They adapt very easily, there's a bunch in New York as well. Oh and one eating a apple on my lap right now.

OMG, I totally fear for the zoo owner's life! He might want to upgrade his fences!
