Really really outstanding aircraft, I haven't seen so far any other modern fighter do the closed combat maneuvers this one does, greetings from Argentina. A beauty.
At 2:04, If you weren't paying attention that it was an SU-35, you'd think for a moment you may be looking at an F-14 Tomcat. That must be why I love the SU-35 too...and it can hold its own. I salute the people who came up with the SU-35's design.
WOW! The flat spin maneuvers would have resulted in a crash for most other fighters. At the end the pilot shuts down the engines and is falling vertically out of the sky in full stall with full control. He re-fires and flies off with no drama at all!!! Amazing what a rock solid airframe, thrust vectoring, and a good G-suite on a great pilot can all do together.
Changes in this plane are so significant I don't even know where to start. It's not only new engines and series isn't small, building proceeds as scheduled with 10-12 machines a year, it's already in service of RAF.
These jets are equiped with thrust vectoring control (TVC) it means that the su 35's jet engine can be control up and down. This engines help prevent the aircraft from stalling despite that the su 35 performing the pugachevs cobra is at 90 degree angle (airfoil perspective)
I don't care about the pro-US/pro-Russia discussions here. I was at Le Bourget on Saturday. Ceiling was at 2000ft improving momentaril to 2500ft. As a result the pilot was only authorised to do the "bad weather" display. It literally raised the hairs at the back of your neck. The Rafale demonstrations were impressive. It's ability to shed speed and seem to stall in the sky were wondrous. The Su-35 demonstrated sheer power. It didn't have the ceiling to "fall" as you see here. But it was chilling
The thing is, Su-27 is not only about slow maneuvering. There are videos where Su-27 completes a full 360 turn in less than 15 seconds (12,7 seconds in one instance). Best I have seen for F-22 is ~20 seconds. I have no solid data about eurofighter, but I am pretty convinced even baseline Su-27 will have no problem matching eurofighters E-M performance, unlike F-22.
It would certainly seem that the F-22 has a match in an infight. This Su-35 manouvers like nothing else I've seen. Especially the post-stall handling seems impressive.
First TVC fighter in operational service was Su-30MKI in India, 2002. +/- 15 deg. vertical. Second was F-22 in United States, 2005. +/- 20 deg. vertical. Third was Su-35S in Russia, 2012. Its Saturn 117 engines feature both horizontal and vertical thrust deflection, although I don't know (it's probably not public info anyway) how much degrees can it offset. This video presents first public show of a first military commissioned fighter jet equipped with two-axis thrust vectoring.
Nothing flies like a Super Flanker. The Flanker airframe is so perfect that nobody has ever been able to top it. Add 3D thrust-vectoring and I sometimes doubt that there's anything that it can't do.
I know VVA-14. It was a wonderful experimental aircraft. It was supposed to have 8 vertical fans to lift up but was not installed later it was scrapped. You have other wonderful machines Yak-141, Buran, Caspian Sea Monster Erkanoplan, Ekip aircraft but that's history. I would look forward to integration of Yak 141 and T-50 Pak Fa.
Thanks. It is important because good plane is just 50% of success. I saw Anatoly Kvochur in Dęblin, PL, few years ago. He can make "cobra" and "bell" - (I am not sure it is correct in english, just translate straight from polish) on Su-27. I remember he was one of few pilots in the world with that skills.
generation 4++ but it still the number one at this days......the best of the best, and it is a kind of show about what the pack FA can be.!! god bless the red star.
This is the most beautiful fighter jet ever produced in my eyes, it is stunning.
Su 35 is great leap of sukoi dezine beauro .what a climbs & amazing thrust vetoring maneuering capebiltise .
It's splendid
The balerina fighter. Awesome and dangers!
Very beautiful.
super beautiful

beautiful manouver... :-)
The agility of that airplane is amazing!! Thanks for sharing!
Su-35 code name: "UFO" (OVNI in Spanish)
No, really there is nothing to discuss: the Russian engineers lead in the avionic
Really really outstanding aircraft, I haven't seen so far any other modern fighter do the closed combat maneuvers this one does, greetings from Argentina. A beauty.
Man, does that even possible???? It flying like some kind of UFO
Captain Sergei,
I salute you from my heart. you made my day.
Одно удовольствие наблюдать за этим самолетом. Это не просто самолет - это наследие всего Человечества.
At 2:04, If you weren't paying attention that it was an SU-35, you'd think for a moment you may be looking at an F-14 Tomcat. That must be why I love the SU-35 too...and it can hold its own. I salute the people who came up with the SU-35's design.
High five to the camera operator!
Amazing stuff . . .
su-35 the best
What a gorgeous plane! Thanks for posting her here!!!!
The thrust vectoring control system make this chick rolls great
Beautiful demo! Beautiful aircraft! The thrust vectoring is amazing!
An excellent piece of machinery and engineering can be respected and admired regardless of its intended use.

И весит 25 тонн.
It has been born in the sky. Admiration.
Superb piece of equipment you have there!!!
A beautifully designed air reaction machine . I pay my tribute to all who thought, built and operate SU-35. Fly safe and take care of your machines.
Very impressive
nice flight. thx for upload !
So hard to shoot a airplane in action.. great job !
saw it at Le Bourget. so breathtaking!
Saw it at Paris Air Show, it was absolutly crazy and graceful .
That was aerial ballet
Saw it in Paris air show, a real beast. Unforgettable
all that technology, and it looks beautiful too
Merci ! Nice video !

amazing piece of technology, and good to see they are entering service finally with the RuAF
Outstanding control & capability
I keep thinking - is that even possible? I mean planes are supposed to fly nose-forward, right?
It was like that in the mid 1960's but now it's time to rethink the whole concept of flying and russians succesfully did.
These jets are equiped with thrust vectoring control (TVC) it means that the su 35's jet engine can be control up and down. This engines help prevent the aircraft from stalling despite that the su 35 performing the pugachevs cobra is at 90 degree angle (airfoil perspective)
Jet engine or nozzle sorry
Yeah ! Very impressive flying.
Beauty and the beast has finally united.
Love and proud
Thank you! OKB Sukhoi
Stunning!
Now this is what I call a "Fighter"
You are absolutely right on that, which is why the 35s had thrust vectoring.
Très impressionnante démonstration. Certainement la plus spectaculaire. Pour ma part ça m'a scotché.
We all should hope and trust in it!
Beautiful aircraft.
Holy crap! Those flat spin recoveries were completely crazy.
In a one on one visual range dogfight, I don't think there is any plane in the world that would stand a chance against this magnificent airplane.
That´s what I called an airshow!!! Impressing!
I don't care about the pro-US/pro-Russia discussions here.

Très belle vidéo.Merci.Amitiés.Yvon
I fully agree.... this is the best Flight I have ever seen !!...
driving like a boss

Wonderful engineering!
он просто оху...ый!!!
woohoo!!! grande caça, sou fan dessa maquina.
Nice!!! :-)
amazing...
looks like the pilot had a blast!!
amazing plane
that was awasome!!!
beautiful and lethal fighter plane
What a beautiful airplane !
Now that's what you call an experience pilot. That was impressive.
whoah..the plane is dancing in the sky
I have finally fallen in love.
And exceptional pilot!
That is a very impressive jet.
so great
Обалденно!!!
Incredible Moves! 5 Star Tricky Rating
Thank you. But more wide frame shots please so we can see exactly what the plane is doing. It's hard to tell when it's zoomed in.
maneuverability beast
Super!!!
Sukhoi you beauty.....
The best flight have ever seen!!!
as i see the pain of that time sits deep:)
What a machine. Also an amazing display of superb flying skill by Sergei Bogdan, Russia's top test pilot!
Красота
Хорош!!!!! Как достойно летит...
Beautiful and wonderful machine, what a maneuverability, their is no match to this air craft
It would certainly seem that the F-22 has a match in an infight. This Su-35 manouvers like nothing else I've seen. Especially the post-stall handling seems impressive.
It has thrust vectors. Tons of videos on UA-cam.

That's gotta be one of the sexiest planes ever made !!!
Best of the best
Watching that hurt my brain. What an incredible aeroplane !

Spettacolo!
The maneuver at 02:40 - pure magic!
From Myanmar with love
Impressive flying capacity :))

anybody know if su35 flight display will be on 22 and 23 june??
french organization told me that they "dont know"...
I couldn't agree more.

The aircraft with all the ordnance it's a weapon , not only the plane itself. :)
BEST Machine!!!
