Luster Dawn has everything: her parents are famous heroes of Equestria, her mentor is Princess Twilight Sparkle herself, she is surrounded by ponies whose exploits and adventures are literally the stuff legends are made from. So why, then, does she feel like she's living the wrong life? Why does everything that should be easy for her feel so difficult? Why can't she maintain friendships with creatures cherry-picked to be the best suited for her personality? Why can't she make a romantic relationship work with somepony she loves and who loves her in return? Why is just plain living so HARD? And who is this strange pony who says she has a way to make everything easier?

I must say, this is quite an interesting dilemma. Luster dealing with living in the shadow of her parents and Twilight, and not wanting to be forced to become an alicorn.

That's the problem. Twi, Star, and Sunburst are not expecting anything of Luster. They just want her to succeed in her own path, not following another. When people begin idolizing something, they misread the true intentions.
Starryflame is doing such an AMAZING job voicing luster. You can feel the emotions especially lusters nerves and anger just radiate through the screen. This crew is real talented!
49:20 after the nightmare luster had and the panic attack from how much she hates ponies expecting her to be a princess. it's so hard to overstate how big of a middle finger she got from this spell.
Damn straight! She became exactly what she feared the most -the spell just took away her doubts and fears + made them materialize in a pair of wings. Poor Luster! 😭😭😭
It’s something about this fic that hits so hard for me. How much I can relate to Luster with the anxiety…. It depicts the anxiety and feeling of isolation so well. It, it really hits very hard and very close to home. It’s, nice to see someone suffering like I do makes it feel less suffocating. Thank you Scribbler, this series actually is really helping me cope… thank you ☺️

Also, I'm torn on Kinyongo. At first, I thought she was going to be The villain, what with that smile she had after Luster left Zecora's hut (plus, I was already sus when she mentioned Zecora was on a month long journey when Starlight made it sound like she'd talked to her just recently), but she seemed genuinely surprised by Luster's Alicorn wings, so now I'm not so sure.
Her bringing blood magic into the mix was giving me heavy Doctor Faciliey from Princess and the Frog vibes.
It's so nice to have a fic that takes place after "The Last Problem".
Luster: I don't want to be an alicorn princess!
Spell: Okay. *poof*
Luster: I SAID I DON'T WANT---
Spell: I only made you an alicorn, not a princess.
Luster: ....
I think part of what makes Luster Dawn’s problem hit home is that, I’m sure most of us are indeed guilty of believing she’s meant to follow in Twilight’s footsteps.

Luster Dawn has officially become such a relatable character, especially in this episode even i can understand how it feels to deal with the stress of not wanting to live up to other's expectations and not becoming something you don't want to and or don't think you'll ever be go enough to be, and also i don't care what anyone says i officially ship Luster and Flurry LusterHeart for the win!
This episode was truly a delight to watch, i loved and or enjoyed every second of it! everyone did such an incredible and fantastic job putting this masterpiece together make no mistake about it, simply sensational work Scribbler and associates major props and kudos to you all and i look forward to episode 3!!!

You're right. anxiety and stressful thoughts and emotions is really one of the toughest things to deal with and can make life hard for a lot of people, and Luster she's an advanced case.

Zakuras assistant’s rhymes must not have been easy to write, but I’m impressed either way no matter how many time I watch these! I wonder if she’s actually chrysalis or another villain considering how she’s acting, but I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next!
I said it before and i'll say it again, it may have taken two years but the wait was definitely worth it, this episode is going to be epic!!!

And that is a big fact
There is A LOT to love about this episode. The art is spectacular and captures the emotions required for each scene very well. The voice delivery is marvelous! You can really hear the stress and struggle in Luster's voice, as well as Lil' Cheese excitement for example.
And the story is done very well and there were so many things I was not expecting! I read somewhere that the spell was supposed to send Luster back in time when Twilight forst came to Ponyville and seeing it giving Luster wings cane as a complete surprise to me. I also expected Flurry Heart and Luster Dawn to be mutual crushes/ love interests that develop feelings and get into a relationship as the series progresses (a general concept I've seen in various audio dramas) but here they actually WERE an item until an unfortunate breakup, of which the reason, from what I get, was hinted in the middle of Luster's dreams (which is quite understandable if you think about it). I also like how normally their relationship is treated eg. no one puts much thought if both of them are girls.
Overall, this is a SPECTACULAR episode and I look forward to the ones ahead! Great job everyone! ^^
I must admit that even though the events of this Audio Drama are not canon, it's still a pretty remarkable interpretation of what Luster Dawn's character could've been like if she wasn't just a one time character in the finale of the official G4 show.

This episode was absolutely phenominal! Props to all of the awesome work of the VAs and Artists. Especially Starry Flame. I got chills listening to her emotional performance; especially during my art scene 0-0. It was also fun playing Pinkie and Cadence in this ep 🎈💙

Wow! This series is really good. And Lusterdawn is really relatable, some of the events and feelings that she has have really hit me hard🥺❤️
About Starlight enslaving the whole village was never do it for world domination, she doing that to fill that void of loneliness in her heart. Unfortunately, Hasbro didn’t use that Ultraman Mebius episode 40 idea to developing more Starlight’s back-story; they only drop some hints in Uncommon Bonds and The Parent Map which is really sad those point never become an actual concrete evidence to proof those haters how wrong they are, while those haters only based on the episode introduce Starlight as a villain claiming her being Adolf Hitler or whatever sadistic villain characters these people in their mind; a few examples I can think of are Tokusatsu series, One Piece, Resident Evil or House of the Dead which this point also never actually have a concrete evidence to proof their point either.
This is the part where most idiots just 1000% throw all the blame right to her face and deny every second party or third party problems, after this episode whenever Starlight is the main character in the episode and things gone west people did the exact same thing in The Cutie Remark. For destroying the timeline, this kind of situation wasn’t entire her fault. I have two reasons prove that:
1) Even Starlight didn’t prevent the Sonic Rainboom to happen, there still chance that Celestia’s plan will go haywire if Twilight not going according her plan and she did mention in Celestia Advice.
2) The alternate timeline, multiverse or another world whichever people prefer to call that, god with the power of creating universe bend on their will; this proof alternate universes existence are 1000% not necessary create by time travel.
Yeah I agree I hate all the toxic fans who didn't like starlight glimmer and compared her to Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin like really she wasn't Even that evil Queen chrysalis was that's the problem it's like saying Sakura is a bad character but I don't see how that is I mean come on there's other villains who are More evil then starlight glimmer was hell Even Lord tirek was More menacing as well and he almost destroyed ponyville
I used to not like starlight for different reasons but she grew on me. I think it was because she became a main character and such. After watching her become evil to good, her change is better than sunset. Like sunset's was instant while starlight's took time. I know it was a movie and all but they could have had that change in the spin off. Also, I have a theory that sunset and sunburst are related. Maybe cousins? Siblings? Who knows.
50:50 telling luster not to look at her back will just draw her attention to it and make her curious about what's up with her back that she shouldn't look at.
I do hope this continues.
