I’v had these boots for over a year and I love them. I have plantar fasciitis and these boots are the only shoe that has solved my problem. A little soft on the sole so you will feel rocks when you step on them. I’v taken them hiking up in the Sierra Nevada and they held up fine. My feet thank me every time I put them on
This was very helpful. I was looking at these because i need cushion and support. I'm older now and have gained a good bit of weight and have some foot issues, especially in the heal. I needed something not only with cushion but that also forms a bit more around the foot. So many shoes are so boxy now and a person with a thinner foot has problems. I'm hoping to find a better shoe or boots than I have now. So maybe I can get out more and loose some more weight. This Video helps me get on track better. Thank you.
Thanks for the follow up video it was really helpful. I watched the original early on. I bought some Xero boots but i think I want to add these to the arsenal as well, the zeroes contribute to sore feet for me I think I need the additional cushion.
I really appreciate your review as I have been thinking about buying these. I just have one question, about how many miles did you use them for when you posted this video?
It’s really hard for me to say at this point. I think I mention a bunch of parks I hiked at in this video. It’s not uncommon for us to go on 5-6 mile day hikes and we’ve done multi day backpacking trips with these boots, as well. That should give you a rough idea anyway. These are still my go to boots.
Had to buy the lone peak 2s to replace my lems spur of the moment. To me the lems are about perfect for me except in snow and mud. I'll have to take the lone peaks 2s out on trail and push them to see how they really compare will report in after this weekend. Initial impressions much more cushy than the lems out of the box swapped in my lems insoles from my old boots to firm them up and the stack hieght is a little high should be 5mm lower minimum
What did you think about the twos? I just got a pair and hiked a 17 mile trail in them as a first go and they felt pretty good to me so far but I saw a lot of people complaining about them.
@@fentonbrowning2391 I think they are great. They did well on everything from snow to mud to gravel to large rocks. The only thing that they struggle with is the fist sized loose rocks but what doesn't. I've done probably well over 500 miles in them and several long hikes
I want to like them as much as you do but, the tread has worn out fast and they have a stink to them which is not from me (I investigated). I had the waterproof model.
Your feet will be warmer in the all-weather but I like them for hikes in the North East where there's a lot of stream crossings and water on the ground.
We’ve definitely seen the reviews of subpar water resistant treatment on the “all weather”. Altra seems to be plagued with issues when it comes to water repellency, even when they do call a product “water proof”.
@@Terradrift if they made these in goretex and normal colors like a tan, od green, all black id only buy them. but salomon and nike make better stuff in my opinion

I've had mine for about 4 months and I love them and will probably buy some Altra gym shoes next 👌
I had the waterproof model. They had holes in the uppers and were no longer waterproof by approximately 100 miles.
Would you recommend this over the altra lone peak 6?

How is the all weather compared to the non waterproof in terms of breathability? Is the non waterproof more comfortable than the all weather?
Your feet will be warmer in the all-weather but I like them for hikes in the North East where there's a lot of stream crossings and water on the ground.
Thank you.
did they stop making these?
Don't you have a "negative" drop with the heel-strike? How "dense" is the midsole? Isn't it too soft?
It's been perfect for me! The Lone Peak line is incredibly popular among through hikers, too.
Would you recommend these over the vasque breeze LT gtx?
Yes! The Vasques are more durable but we find the Altras more comfortable.
What color is that pair?
Nice review. Thank you,
Thanks for watching!
Super Review !
the all weather isnt waterproof

I just got this exact pair. How off is the sizing with the toe box? I'm a 12, but like my boots a little tighter from experience so I wentwith 11.5
Like all other Altra Shoes, the new re-design SUCKS!!!!
