Halloween Metal Skull Casting from Aluminum Cans - lost foam technique

Casting an Aluminum skull for Halloween using the lost foam technique. Molten aluminum cans poured into a sand casting of a styrofoam skull. Happy Halloween!

Yes they are fun to make. It's Halloween again and I was thinking of making a larger copper one. We will see if I can get around to doing that soon.

I am guessing that was 757 Celsius?

No that was Fahrenheit actually. I still had a while to go before it got hot enough. My temperature gun only goes up to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit so it just gives me an idea when I'm getting close. I just throw some aluminum in when it gets close and check when it starts to melt. Thanks for watching.
