He's saying Danyl performed Joe Cocker's version because the first comment Tyler seemed to think this version was completely different than the original version (The Beatles), which yes it is, but it is not completely different and flipped on its head from Joe Cocker's version, who is whom Danyl was trying to emulate here.

This is still an unprecedented performance throughout all of the talent shows to date.
He should be belting out record after record and providing us with some actual worthwhile music, which seems to be something that's definitely lacking these days.
This guy was absolutely incredible for 90 seconds and that just ain't enough, we need more!

I'm totally in love with him :) I've seen this video milion times and I still love this performace.

Back in the DAY..WHEN THE X FACTOR..HAD THE X FACTOR. This guy was in my all-time top 5. The tune is a classic, and he just did an incredible twist on it. Hairs standing up, on the back of your neck moment. Gifted voice. Still don't understand how he didn't get to the end.

I still find this performance a top one. I'd buy a ticket to listen that. Sadly he did not continue to go even further than that night (which is hard when it's so good)
He did continue until a b1tch on the judges panel after trying repeatedly to undermine his performances finally deliberately outed him. He never made the big time but several years later he was still singing and no longer delivering pizzas. Simon should have repaired the damage she did to Danyl and given him a chance to succeed.

Maybe the most fun part of it was watching the female judges. This guy definitely had them charmed down to their toes. When the one said, "I would take you in my category right now." I think she was thinking "bedroom" more than category. 😁
