- First trip of the year into my Placer gold claim I call the "Dream Claim" For this trip in I spent the day up at Nugget Bar looking for more of the gold nuggets that this gravel bar is known for. I decided to check a spot I have not been able to detect before because of some big boulders. Rolling boulders is always fun and can sometimes produce some really nice gold.

I recently found gold in NJ! There's a place where glaciers dropped two long, parallel hills of material atop hard clay. Little springs pop out in places and form small streams, which erode gullies into the clay, where traps form. Sure enough, the first little gravel trap I cleaned out had 6 flecks of gold and one larger of platinum!

Dan, I like that you don't show gold in every pan. The adventures are great and a nugget now and then is great. This dosen't give a unrealistic expectation to people like me that want to go panning someday.

Would you make a video and explain how you guys get these claims? Do you buy the land? Lease the land? How do you find the land you want to use as a claim? What's the process of getting it as your claim, costs and such. How long is it yours? How do you search for claims? How many claims do you have? Is there a limit for claims a person can have so one guy doesn't claim all the land for himself? How does the next guy get the claim from you? I'd love to understand how all this claim stuff works. I hear you and Pauly talk about your claims but I've never seen anyone really go in great deal about how it all works. Like your picture stone claim, is that yours for life? Did you buy the land after finding the stone? Do you share profits with Canada or British Columbia? A detailed video would be really interesting Dan
