Steve Digby It’s extremely difficult for me to take my Catalina out and it’s solely because raising the mast is such a PITA. Got any drawings of the setup by chance? :)
Hello, I bought a C25 recently and I was wonderinf if you could share the instructions of what you did to make this work so well. I loved the ease of it and I would like to duplicate it, I would appreciate any help. Thanks
Did i see that you had written instructions - can you pass them along Do you disconnect all shrouds before you start Is there an order to reconnect the lower and upper shrouds Do you have an suggestions on the right amount of tension for the shrouds what material is your a-frame made of and how high thanks
Slick!!! I have a Cat 25 and have only ever lowered the mast and sure wouldn't have done it one my own. Can you reply with any further info on the "A Frame"?
I studied this video several times and made an A-frame, stern pulpit rack and everything worked very nicely.

@@cumbis123 Sorry, I do not. I just watched the video several times and improvised.
I have always wondered how a mast was stepped....Now I know. Great Vid!

Excellent video, the written instructions are very helpful, thank you!

The Catalina 25 is one of the very few the mast steps that easy. Catalina put that boat back into production again. You can buy a new one.
do you do anything to stop sideways movement?
No info on the a frame. What it is, how it attaches to the mast.
tflick- the forestay is attached to an "A-frame" (see 1:27)
