But that verse doesn’t mean we just take abuse, we can stand against it if we need to defend ourselves, we just can’t abuse others in revenge. Jesus is trying to get us to understand that revenge and unnecessary violence (physical, verbal, etc.) against another who has wronged you is wrong. I was not a religious person back then but when things goes all south my life suffers more and more, i tried going to church and pray asking god for forgiveness and repent my sins now my life is stable thanks for reading bible and praying
