Awesome video been watching all these series. I had hoped to hit some alpine lakes this year but sadly it didn't happen. But next year man! Great video guys!
Don’t know how cold that water is but would love to see some underwater footage of that ecosystem and see those trout in their environment. Wetsuits and snorkeling !
Hey man just wanted to let you know that you really taught me how to fly fish, no one I know fly fishes and I always wanted to try, I’ve been getting better and have a passion for this sport! Appreciate it!
@chiquilín I will tell you what I was told long time ago. “ If you ever try fly fishing you will no go back to traditional casting, sitting, waiting, spinning…” and that was 100% true. Feeling the rod in your hand and seeing when the fish comes to eat the fly it is an unbelievable sensation. If you have the financial means to pay for a guide and some classes you should try it. Wońt regret it.
Yeah, head for the Snake River area running on the borders of Wyoming and Idaho. Scenery is remarkable and the fishing is supposedly AMAZING! I fished the Madison to the west but I'm sure going back to hit the area I mentioned..
Some gorgeous Cut Throats and those colors especially the reds were incredible ! Then there is the incredible terrain and scenery. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making these videos. Just the hike to get there with your gear is commendable. Well done !
I think I’m aware of where this is and if I’m right there’s definitely some other good ones here. Thought cuz many look so similar but if I’m right then there’s some others. Indy has a lot of gems…
You have been given a gift. It is imperative that you understand how special the talent you have been given. Enormous thanks for sharing your experience.
It was three days ago that I watched this stunning video and I didn’t want to let it go without writing a most deserved praising comment which I couldn’t write before because I was too busy and also because it takes some time to me to write in English (Spanish is my tongue). The climbing hike goes through a marvellous North American landscape before making it up to that heavenly lake. Once there what I see is similar to some of my actual dreams during my sleep. It really is. That blue water from where you can catch those many gorgeous good sized trout with that incredible amount of red colour…oh man…quite a dream indeed… The solitude of a whole lake for the two of you! Only the sound of the wind, the waves, the birds…what a fishing adventure!…it will create a even stronger wonderful bond between of you guys as brothers. You both will recall in the future how lucky you were for sharing such a marvellous fishing day. One of the best fishing videos that I have ever watched in my life. I mean it. A beauty of a video. Congratulations.
What a grand adventure! Awesomely beautiful cutthroats and scenery! And landing a big cutt on a #22 nymph fished on 7X tippet? That’s pretty doggone skillful angling - well done! Always appreciate your high country outings!
Great video of an amazing scenery and cool fishing! Those are stocked trout tho, and normally i am used to you guys searching for the wild ones, but anyways, keep up the good work! Best regards :D
This reminds me of a lake I me and a buddy found 30+ yrs ago that was so remote we had to go back a year later to reach it. 2 day hike. No trail. About 11k ft. elev. First day, 1st cast, 1st fish. 20 in of the most gorgeous beautiful crimson, silver and emerald on a rainbow. Later I noodled a fifteener out from under a log we ate for dinner. The river feeding and leaving the lake was no wider than 2-3 ft in most places and I estimated at least 4 or 5 ft deep with seriously deep undercut banks holding monster fish! We were spooking giant bows in just the tiniest of pools just walking by on the game trail. Hell, above the lake in a meadow pool the size of a living room there were around twenty lunkers, their dorsal and tailfins sticking up outta the water...looked like a hatchery. Looking back to where the rivulet feed the intake there were some dozen fish, a couple were 24 inchers. Never saw anything like it and I never will again. No BS. We went back 2 or 3 times later over the years but it had changed...less moisture. The deep feeder had turned to a trickle. We still caught some from the lake but nuthin like that 1st magical trip...
Hey man! So I noticed in one of your recent vids that your waders fit really good and I’ve been looking for a pair like that. Could u by any chance tell me the brand or kind those are??
Wondering what length cast you had on , breaking strain, most successful fly and set up. I.e how many droppers and any particular technique . Amazing location and terrific fish. What a days fishing and well worth the long hike getting there .
Nothing more annoying than fellow fishermen NOT sharing locations.. It's not as if it's going to turn into a Macy's Parade. High altitude alone will keep most away...
@@SDPBALLCOACH I'm guessing you're not from CO, so you wouldn't understand. yes, them telling everyone where this is will put lots of traffic there. trust me, I've lived here for the past 11 years and you would not believe how overrun the good places that used to be secret are now. social media sucks. :(

Great content as always!! I’m fishing a creek here in Wv in the southern part of the state that looks like a creek from out west. It has milfoil and coon tail weeds with some under cut banks, it’s so different than most of the wild trout creeks i fish. Right now the big browns are up this one trib , and I’m talking big, 19”’s that I’ve caught and seeing ones much much bigger, and they are utilizing the weeds as cover while trying to pre spawn. The weeds have the water clarity extremely clear. The bug life is amazing in this creek where there’s weeds. Thanks for the content and I appreciate what you guys are doing!!! Sorry to keep rambling on about this creek but I’m just so excited about it.
E P I C !!! 🤯👍 Seriously, nuthin short of it.🤯 Now I'm not gonna ask where this was cuz this place is obviously a TREASURE...but, what I WILL ask is, was this location a frequently fished spot and/or a preserve of some kind? I'm thinking this was public land? Just curious is s'all. Great vid boyz and THANK YOU for makin the treck to this place.🙂👍 GORGEOUS all the way around...just FREAKIN GORGEOUS (the fish, the lake, the scenery...TOP MARKS! 🙂👍) Peace ✌😎
Awesome video as usual beautiful fish just thank you guys for sharing and keeps me in touch because I just don't get to fish the way I used to. Used to be fishing every weekend all week end and was close enough to mountains to even go up and fish after work in evenings. Just really appreciate you guys thanks so much. Like I said look into lake agnus and do some investigating on it.
Can't imagine what it was like to actually be there. I'm sure as great as the video is, being there and seeing in person was much better. Thanks for sharing!
Colorado seems to have some great alpine lake fishing. I did a lot of alpine lake fishing this summer in Idaho, but didn't break 20". I saw some larger ones, but they were spawning.
I am glad you got to experience the scenery, the peace and quiet, the fish, the water, etc. Now close your eyes and just think how big and more abundant that all the fish and game were before Columbus wrecked his boat into the America's. Think about how the natives actually lived with the earth instead of being caught up in the plastic world today. My Foster Mother taught me to fish and she could outfish a lot of guys but she also taught me to be kind and be a gentleman and one thing she said put the two together. She said " I like to catch fish but I like to see others catch fish too". I really enjoy and appreciate ya'lls videos. And always tight lines. Tony

Either brooks are so ingrained in your dna or the high altitude took a toll towards the end of the video 😄 ... outstanding work guys!
I think it was a little bit of both... the lack of oxygen going to my brown definitely didn't help LOL
Curious what you’re set up is as far as fishing goes. Rod and reels and leader setups
You need to try Pyramid Lake. Do a search and check it out..... Huge Cutthroat trout!
Sick background bro thanks for the free spot
What part of Colorado is that in.
I'm planning a trip this May to go to Wyoming for fly fishing, in the Grand Teton range. Anyone have any tips or things they know about the region?
