I have this exact same rear bag system. The mesh bags are really slick, with the two nice sturdy handles on each side and the strap on the bottom to empty them. I bought some more bags to make leaf clean up in the fall REALLY quick! I just place the full bags in my pickup and take them to the dump site to empty them, then come back and finish the lawn. This eliminates emptying the bags into a garbage can, trailer or truck box and speeds up the process.
Thanks for the input! Where did you buy the extra bags? It would be nice to have a second set in case these ever wear out.About half of my property is woods, so I just dump the leaves way in the back and let them compost on their own.

Very easy to understand and see. Thanks for posting. I have a Troy-Built but couldn't find any decent videos of how to do this. I'm hoping my mower is as easy to work with when I head outside today.
Thank you so much for showing this. I'm hoping to put one on the Huskvarna 42" mower I have. Your explanation was more than I have gotten from others. Two thumbs up if I had them!
I hope since your instructions were so easy to understand, I can run out to the garage and assemble my second-hand bagging system. My dad and brother are too busy and I have never used one in my life. thanks for posting!
Make sure you are using HI Lift Blades. If you are using a muclhing blade, it is not made to eject the clippings. Hi Lift blades are curved on the back end and throw the clippings all the way through the chute into the bags.
I’m not sure but I think lawn bags might interfere with the airflow. The bags are mesh to let air through them and plastic liners might prevent that. I’ve got woods behind my house where I’m able to dump the clippings so I’ve never had to bag them.
Do you happen to remember if the shoulder bolts came with the bagger? I bought one from lowes and those were not included. I'm wondering if maybe they came with the tractor?
My bagger came with the shoulder bolts. QC isn’t what it used to be, so maybe they forgot to include them? I would contact the manufacturer and have them send you the bolts.
@@ncshootist haha thanks man. I literally asked this same question on someone else's video and he said they were already on the tractor. I already called lowes where I got the tractor from and the bagger and they are giving me a hard time. I shouldn't have to spend 32 bucks for 4 bolts though that should have came with one of them. Thank you for your reply!
I have a craftsman 42" bagger but it does not show for install how to install the springs for the cover and the cover spacer. I know it goes through the cover and bagger frame with the long pin but gives no info on exactly how to install. Do you have info on that?
Hi what size are the shoulder screws or what do you recommend for shoulder screws. I ordered this bagger for my Husqvarna all hardware came minus the screws.
I've got this same bagger and I like it. But I did take the bagger lid apart and I had to remove the hinge pin and the two springs. Unfortunately I didn't take note of the springs positions. Would you by change be able to supply a picture of that hinge and spring attachment? I have the manual but there's no description of the hinge and springs
I paid $224 for mine, but it was previously used when I got it so Amazon sent me a new one and let me keep the old one. I bought a couple bucks worth of hardware at Lowe's and was able to sell the used one for $100.My mower did come with the deck wheels and it's a 19HP Briggs
I'm having trouble with the lower shoot clogging up almost as soon as I start mowing. I have to stop and reach in and unclog it all the time. Is there something I could do to help with this problem
I know it sounds crazy, but use Pam cooking spray on the inside of the tube and that will help with the sticking. Other things that help are making sure the grass doesn’t get too long and the grass doesn’t have a lot of moisture on it.
Does the bagger make the actual mower wider? Because my mower barley will fit through my gate, with maybe 1 inch of room on each side, and that’s with the side shoot raised up.
@@ncshootist same problem here and I’ll install another gate at some point. Until then given the time saved via the bagger And ease of install I’ll just remove it each time😃

Thanks Noel!

Hi, how much you want for used one, and can you send it by dhl to iraq???
Thank you for your post
Hazim
Thank you for your post.
Thank you so much this is the best instruction video on this topic on youtube!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the post. More information than the Walmart site gives. Really helpful.
The grass shoot on my bagger keeps clogging up. How can I solve this problem?
Maybe try spraying some non-stick cooking spray on the inside of the tubes. I spray the underside of the mowing deck and that seems to work well.
Make sure you are using HI Lift Blades. If you are using a muclhing blade, it is not made to eject the clippings. Hi Lift blades are curved on the back end and throw the clippings all the way through the chute into the bags.
This mower opening looks exactly like the Craftsman DYT4000 I just bought used.
Would it be possible to have lawn bags in the system to catch the grass as it falls into the cradle for easier clean up?
I’m not sure but I think lawn bags might interfere with the airflow. The bags are mesh to let air through them and plastic liners might prevent that. I’ve got woods behind my house where I’m able to dump the clippings so I’ve never had to bag them.

Melvin, it looks like they’re 5/16”x18. www.ebay.com/itm/323892195161
What’s the part number for the bracket
This helped me man. Thank you brother!

Kevin, I’ll work on getting you a short video.

@@ncshootist That was very nice of you to take the time to help him out like that.
What is the model number of the bagger?
How much was that bagger, also did your mower come with the deck wheels? I can't find one under $200. I'm assuming that you have the 17.5hp Ariens..
I paid $224 for mine, but it was previously used when I got it so Amazon sent me a new one and let me keep the old one. I bought a couple bucks worth of hardware at Lowe's and was able to sell the used one for $100.My mower did come with the deck wheels and it's a 19HP Briggs

@@ncshootist great idea I'll try the pam
Can this be used for collecting leaves ?
Yes, just make sure they’re not wet leaves and it should pick them up just fine.
Does the bagger make the actual mower wider? Because my mower barley will fit through my gate, with maybe 1 inch of room on each side, and that’s with the side shoot raised up.
It does add about 4 to 5 inches of width to the mower. If you're already stretched for space, this is going to keep you from going through the gate.
@@ncshootist same problem here and I’ll install another gate at some point. Until then given the time saved via the bagger And ease of install I’ll just remove it each time😃
What is the size of the bolts you uses?
I’m not sure what size they were, this has been several years ago and I don’t have the mower or bagger anymore.
What is the bagger set up brand?
Poulan Pro
Do you have a link for the chute
Sorry, I don’t
will this fit a huskee 42 inch?...
I’m not sure. You might be able to find a fit guide on Poulan’s website or on Amazon.
Would this fit a Troy bilt Bronco 42in?
I’m not sure, but you could check the Poulan Pro website
Would i be able to install this in a Poulan 42 16542?
If yours was made after 2006 it should be compatible. I think Husqvarna, Poulan and Ariens are made by the same factory.
Will it fit on a 46 inch deck too?
I think it only fits the 42” deck
Do you have the model number of this bagger system?
Poulan Pro 960730023
So you're not supposed to use garbage bags in the baggers? Does it affect the airflow if you do?
Susan, Im not sure if you’re supposed to use garbage bags in them or not. I dump all my leaves and grass clippings in the woods behind my house so I don’t have a reason to use bags. The baggers are a mesh material to allow airflow and garbage bags may block that.

Where did u buy the bagger ?
