Do NOT use water, use alcohol. I’m a electronic technician and we use alcohol to clean electronic products because alcohol drys fast and cleans much better. You’re taking a HUGE risk using water because the damp residue might be lingering behind the ear bud screen after cleaning. . After you clean the ear buds with alcohol, sit the ear buds down for a couple of minutes and then test them. Trust me, I’ve already fixed two of my ear buds that stopped giving sound on one side.

For those of you who don’t want to risk damaging your earbuds, you can cut off the top of the caprisun and fold it into a sharp corner. Then scrape off the earwax.
My right piece was producing less sound as compared to the left one, was really irritated the whole day , but then tried this and it worked. This is some epic shit guys.....
Guys if one of the earbuds barely has sound take the grill out and scrub the holes with a toothbrushes and alcohol. You can shape the grill and place on top where it goes and use the head of a nail to place it back. I did that and my left earbud is loud now.

I was hesitant to try this because I thought it might be more of a mechanical fault but I gave it a go and it restored the sound in my earphones back to brand new quality 👍🏻
For those who are facing the problem of low volume in one earphone, I just fixed mine by using a paint brush, I just cleaned my airpods nicely with the paint brush for like 2-3 minutes, I tested.....It actually worked...trust me....also make sure that the paint brush is not wet..👍
