ALGAE & NITRATE KILL'R *UPDATE*

Reducing algae and lowering nitrates, both are very desirable, particularly in a large African Cichlid tank where it's next to impossible to keep live plants. Here is an update on the progress of my Santa Monica Filtration Algae Scrubber. Have you used an algae scrubber? What were your results. Haven't seen these on a freshwater tank before, i see alot on saltwater tanks. Maybe if you have some algae from another tank you could jump start the algae inside the scrubber?

Have a setup that sumps out to my hydroponic tub outside and pumps back into my aquarium, grows algae in it as well as veggies. I don't bother doing Nitrate tests anymore
