Oh, from Montale, the Aoud Lime is very nice too! Rose-oud combo too, but not as deep and dry as the black aoud. It's is a happier fragrance than the Black Aoud. There is some saffron in the scent. Nice too much more in the fall and the spring, when it is cooler the weather in outside. Sorry for my english, it's very bad and low quality!
Own a bottle. This starts with a harsh smell of dead roses for 15 or 20 minutes but turns amazing. Very dark, like you would imagine a Bond villain or a vampire would smell like, classy & dark. Wear only in cold weather though cause silage is nuclear as he said
Thank you for that review, Sebastian! This is one of my best beast mode fragrance. The rose, the oud and the patchouli are so sexy and intense in here, but yet dry. I love that way with this scent. On my skin it's a very long lasting fragrance too (12+ hours), and it's projecting and projecting and just projecting.. In the fall and winter when I want a sexy rose-oud fragrance, I wear this. I love that dry way in the black aoud. When I want a sexy warm spicy fragrance, I wear Dior Homme Parfum. It is still on the market in Hungary. Love that too. So welcome winter 2019-2020. : )

I’ve been chasing a fragrance that has a cloud and trail as big as portrait of a lady. This absolutely does that!! This house may be for me!

I tried a bunch of montales line/tom ford/some I don't remember at a fragrance shop and this one was the best one by a longshot to me (and the wife). Tom fords oud wood and tobacco oud strangely were a huge disappointment, everyone hypes them up so much I was certain I'd like them.

tried this from a sample, stayed on my cloth after washing machine wash, this is a permanent fragrance. It is more geared towards middle Eastern demography I believe.
Montale is a house i have such little expierence with , except oudmazing and tropical woods. Love both of those , so the more reviews from them the better 🙏

have you ever tried Mancera Black to Black? 🔥🤗 In my opinion is more complex and on my skin makes this "journey". Montale Black Aoud is for me too linear from beginning to the end.
Everyone raves about Black Oud. I love oud and roses, like in Santal Royal, etc... I love the other Montales I know of... but Black Oud on my skin doesn't match your description of it--at all. One spray on my arm brought to mind a time I was in a discount store and someone dropped and broke a bottle of extremely cheap rose perfume made for little girls. Rose everywhere, only piercing rose, nothing but rose, where's the door?! Okay, I love many Montale fragrances, I even love Cuir D'Arabie, so I waited for a transforming dry down... an hour goes by, I still smelled like a broken bottle of discount rose perfume splashed on a floor. Visitors dropped by to visit at this point and SCREAMED out, "Oh My God You Smell Like Roses! What happened?!" I agreed and could only laugh. 2 hours go by--still smell only cheap screaming roses...3 hours go by, still only cheap screaming roses... four hours and to me the rose began fading a bit and other light scents were perceivable but at that point I was exausted from the screaming roses. Oud is in this? Patchouli is in this? If these ingredients are indeed in this fragrance I must have recieved a bad batch or my skin just doesn't match this scent--at all. 'Disappointed' only mildly describes my feeling about Montale Black Oud.

How do you differentiate between black oud vs black oud intense. I purchased the intense on a blind buy and it smells lovely on others. But I'm curious about the OG black oud.
I have the intense version. I've heard people say its not as strong as Black Aoud which would be kind of a bummer because the darker and stronger a fragrance is the more I like it.
Hi, Sebastian. Bought Black Aoud (blind buy after your recommemdation), really beast mode, BUT unfortunatelly it stinks, it literally stinks like insecticide. Everybody that smelled it (family/friends) got a bad stomach (just like me everytime I smell it), beast mode in repulsiveness. The perfume is original. Bad batch or something? Can it really be that bad smelling to literally make you wanna puke?
The video seems as if it had the essence of the Black Oud Vibe from Technically Sebastian lol on behalf of Montale. You can tell the room is deeply riched with the smell. That big old grin lmao

It's funny two different folks have sent me Black Aoud as decants in swaps without me asking saying something like "You gotta try THIS!". Ironically, my first oud scent I owned was Aoud White: its alter ego. I adore oud in all its glorious aspects but have grown a bit tired of the mukhallat formula (saffron/rose/oud) Long before I had any oud perfumes I owned a precious attar sent to me by a dear friend from the bazaars of Karachi, Pakistan but it was an AMBER mukhallat which changed the whole tone of everything! Even though I am a bit burnt/jaded towards mukhallat how could I ever dis something as awesomely beautiful and powerfully primal? It's funny too it was also sent to me for reviews from MiN a few years back (from the lovely Olya!) as a romantic Valentine's Perfume! I guess everyone's idea of romantic is different. You love it when I did a search of UA-cam for this video (autoplay took me off my original watching) it was featured in its own review (this) and five other lists! THAT is love!
got the edt recently and I am not sure if it were fake or a different batch. I definitely smell saffron and rose, and not sure I smell any oud. do u have the same experience?
for me this fragrance smells exactly like some color changing markers that i used to have as a kid. i completely forgot about them or how they smelled but as soon as i took a sniff on this scent it took me right back to these damn funny-smelling markers ahaha. unfortunately i don't particularly enjoy this fragrance

Too much rose for my liking... so much that I gave it to my elderly aunt, who loves it.
Well..I never try black aoud before..but I really Love Oudmazing..It's a perfect formal scent for night time (according to my nose).

Cooler days but sometimes wearing them on a warm humid day with limited sprays does magic. Do some tests see how they wear! :)
