This is what the Montale customer service wrote to me asking just the same question!The 100 ml perfume is preserved in an aluminium bottle that can hold up to 160 ml. The space thus created allows your fragrance to continue macerating away from the light, sometimes giving our customers the feeling that the bottle is not filled. A 100ml full bottle weighs around 113gr depending on the perfume. I bought a bottle of Black Aoud, I love it, 2-3 sprays is just right and wait 15-30 minutes until the magic happens!
The one thing that Montale have going on for them is perfomance. People can complain about the scent, ingredients etc but noone can say anything about the longevity and sillage being substandard. They really nailed down those 2 concepts on pretty much all their fragrances. They did it soo good that it ends up being a problem if someone oversprays😂
I agree with their perfumes. They last for a long time on me. There’s only a few that don’t work on me and that’s their more fresh summer scents. They don’t project and they are only skin scents on me. Examples are aoud blue notes and so blue.
I have to get my nose on this one, I have a good number of their Ouds... Oud Tobacco - Heavenly, like a punchier Pasha de Cartier. Probably my favourite along with Oud Dream. Honey Oud - sweet, honey, oud is the support act, amazing scent Royal Aoud - Spiced oud, some cumin and sumac. Really interesting, lighter than most Montales Black Aoud - Beastly rose oud, lasts forever, smells like a goth Oud Dream - Like Spicebomb Extreme crossed with Man in Black. Delicious and performs like crazy Aoud cuir de Arabie - Strong barnyard and goat leather. Daring, will choke people with the opening, but finishes really clean and classy. Complex one for me, I use it layered with Black Oud or Mancera Wild Leather. Oudmazing - A fruity, sweet scent with oud making it more adult. Really lovely, very unisex and lasts well.
Ooh man I can not do oudmazing. Too much on me. It becomes nauseating on me after awhile. I love black aoud, aoud purple rose all great long lasting but not nauseating or too much. Will have to try oudmazing in the winter time so I’m not choking myself out

You weren't joking about them having a lot of ouds!! 😂 All four of mine have Aoud in the name. Dark Aoud, Intense Black Aoud, Aoud Purple Rose, and Fantastic Oud. I love them all.
I love aoud purple rose and black aoud. Fantastic aoud doesn’t project or last long on me. I’m thinking because it’s summer and it’s hot here so I feel like it doesn’t perform well because of the heat but I’m not sure
Blind buy this and tried it on first spray. Oh my…. It’s a beast mode! 1 spray and it projects miles away. Love it though…the scent was perfectly well blended. I wonder if it’s similar to Mancera Aoud Exclusif? I wish I have a sample of aoud exclusif to compare since it’s sister company.
Hey Ash. I got Roses Vanille, Oudmazing, and Hindu Kush. What's the next ones you'd recommend me getting from Mancera and Montale other than Cedrat Boise, Red Tobacco, or Instant Crush.. I'm a guy.
Hope you don't mind me (woman) sliding into the comments. I bought Oud Pashmina 50ml for my bday in Paris after sniffing Mancera Roses Vanille on a man in the hotel dining room. I ventured over to the Montale/Mancera shop to find something for me. I received a sample of Oud Edition with my purchase. It's definitely leans to the masculine side, but that doesn't scare me away from a spritz that will last all day. I'm currently living in the middle east; I just wanted to sniff all the people in the Dubai airport and on my Emirates flight. They all smelled so GOOD! To me, Our Edition has the right balance of notes that make me enjoy sniffing my wrist. One Bahrainian fragrance I tried on today was nice but smells too smokey. Edition's smokiness is well balanced with rose, etc. It's a wonderful scent. I hope the partners in your lives can't take their noses off you. I might buy a bottle and use it to spray on my furniture as that's what they did in my hotel. They used something in a spray bottle. I LOVED entering my room because the scent was so enveloping.
How would you compare pashmina and oud edition? I tried pashmina and really liked it, which one do you think suits a man better? More versatile for hot weather as well
@CoolJacker Both are nice but I'd, hands down, prefer Edition on a man compared to Pashmina. 😊 I can't really speak about seasons; I live in the Gulf. A Qatari sprayed his perfume on his thobe, so it was very close to him. I wasn't loud in the crowd.
that's funny I just placed an Order but for Montale Oud Dream. I'm crazy about Oud. Sandalwood. any dark wood nots I'm always interested. but now I hope Montale Oud Dream is good.

Montale is that one brand I’m just not into. Not that they’re bad or anything, but that bottle presentation is the main reason I avoid buying from them 😩
They are actually great bottles. They can't break, they protect the juice from light and uv rays, and they stay cool being aluminum. There's a reason Montale uses them.

I absolutely love oud edition. It's probably my favourite montale. I'm wearing it now. This is what a real man smells like.
Thanks for the review. I tested it today, and will give it a full wearing tomorrow, but so far I really like it.

I really like Honey Aoud, which sounds like for similar reasons that this one sounds worth trying.
Very underrated, it's crazy how well it complements cigars and whiskey. Try Out Tobacco and Arabians Tonka, I think you'll enjoy them.

You need to take into account the price and the performance and then Montale doesnt look bad, does it?
In fact they look pretty good imo
i really like the montale oud tobacco, only problem like most wood and tobacco centric fragrances and that it can only be used in cooler/cold weather

@@tumarbongrox6074 it does smell like it has some pipe tobacco in it but it's much less prominent as Manceras Red Tobacco as one would imagine.
