Hi there, my library has a high end Epson scanner that I am able to access for free, but the slide carrier is missing. This led me to search the net for a replacement but these all seem to cost about £30 so that seemed way too much for a simple piece of plastic, that does not appear to do anything that complicated. My next thought was cardboard engineering as a workaround. Then I stumbled upon your UA-cam video. Your DIY slide holder shows that this is indeed possible so thank you for demonstrating proof of concept.

I think just adding a coupld of sheets of paper padding between the film and the lid would be enough to keep it flat
Thanks
