Found this story so captivating and so sad, practically brought a lump to my throat! Great narration and music with the effects. Thanks Will, love these long forgotten tales from Wales.
@@WillHuw I watch a lot of your videos Will and am trying to learn Welsh using your delightful videos. One request though... I'd hoped that you had done a video narration of the story of Prince Llewellyn and Gelert. I apologise if you have already done one and I've missed it. Hwyl fawr Mark
I remember this Legend. Did not know it was Nant Gwrtheyrn as the village they were from. Well presented and edited. An interesting true story, well some say it is....
Well the legend is remarkably detailed. It includes Rhys' Surname, the name of the church they were to be married in (which still exists), and the names of the farms the two were from - Rhys was from Ty Uchaf, and Meinir from Ty Hen, so there may well be a basis of truth here :)
Really look forward to your uploads you never disappoint -thankyou x
Cheers! Thanks for watching.

Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers and thanks for watching
I love this place. One of my favourite places on the Llyn. It's great to walk over Yr Eifl to Trefor on the other side of the mountain.
Sounds great! Thanks for watrching.

Same here Eggy. Knew the legend but not where it was set (until I researched it). Thanks for watching :)
I'm really enjoying this Legend series, Will. Many a legend is said to contain a grain of truth. Is that the case here? Diolch yn fawr iawn eto.

Anyone else wonder how she got into that tree trunk in the first place?
Presumably it was hollow?
@@WillHuw Maybe, but was there a space big enough she could climb into?
@@erintwomey3846 I'm guessing that there must have been. She must have thought it was an excellent hiding place :(

Wych! Diolch am y linc a diolch am wylio.
I went to Nant Gwrtheyrn on Saturday with my family & there was a wedding there 🥲
Yes it's a great wedding venue... as long as you're not Rhys and Meinir ;)
@@WillHuw I will never do that!
