I simply make pre made rigs with a swivel on one end and hook on the other. I suspect the loop knot hung over the wire snap is the weakest point
We do that too sometimes but if you run out of swivels or are a cheapo like me this works too ! Surprisingly the loop knot has not failed once on me! It's always gotten broken off near the hook due to the structure rubbing the line and breaking it!
Really don’t even need the snap swivel since you have the loop…a regular barrel swivel could do and would be stronger with the larks head doubled up.
How would you connect the loop to the barrel swivel?
Humbug. One thinks the majority of rocks hangs are sinker based hangs…not hook based.

Normally whatever the 120lb size is. I think its 4?
