I want a wrangler... but only have 08 liberty money... so I put a 2.5" lift, 18" rims, and 32" tires. If you squint really hard it looks like a wrangler! 🤣🤣
what's with the handling score? it handles like a dang sports car. i have had an explore, a ram, a raider, a mustang, a mini cooper, and 2 liberty's.... the liberty's handle better than all the above, except the mini cooper. its handling is great.
My 2005 Ford Taurus was just stolen. 😢 For the last 2 months l had to share her SUV 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport FWD. It’s very nimble and fast. She convinced me into buying an SUV. I found a 2012 Jeep Liberty 2 wheel drive in mint condition with a tow bar attached. I always wanted a mobile home. Now l can tow at 5,000 lbs.
Love my 2012 Liberty,,, purchased preowned fir $11,000 and spent $2500 on a freshening-up of the steering, suspension and cv-axles,,, handles and drives beautiful!... All MOPAR replacement parts and its my daily driver. Gas milage is average with common sense driving.... Not a cross country choice but perfect for my needs.
@@paulstake We have a 2017 patriot latitude and my 2012 liberty,,,, for the same cost as a wrangler,,,,,, Two jeeps for the high resale value of the wrangler is a smart decision for my wife and I!... Living in Pennsylvania requires safe vehicles,,,, we have that.
I have a 2012 liberty latitude. 164000 miles and everything works perfectly. No issues that are picked up by diagnostic tests. Do wish it had more options for tires with the 18 in rims. They all seem to look like minivan tires.
I had a 3.5 inch lift on my liberty and I’m pretty happy with it. When I change the tires I will probably get a 1 inch taller size, that’ll give it a little more advantage on the off-road. Something that should be mentioned is that the liberty has this ESP system that the wrangler does not have. Knowing how to use this system can give you an advantage over a stuck wrangler.
I have a bias cause I own a liberty and have owned an other one a few years back both 2012. Love them. Something I experienced this was again my experience. I never owned a wrangler but my ex’s sister did a soft top 2 door cool jeep but we lived in the east coast were we got a lot of snow and it was very cold in the winter. Wrangler was ruff specially in the back seat it was cold the heat didn’t work well. That’s not an issue with a liberty unless you have that slider sun roof thing I can’t speak to that. Libertys are tanks again I’m on my second one and I can’t complain. My first one had some transmission issues but it was when it was still pretty new and jeep paid for all of it and gave me a rental. No issues after that one time. I owned the first one for years and it had a few small issue’s here and there but nothing big that really broke the bank to fix. My current one so far so good no issues. The biggest plus to a liberty in my opinion is it’s a smaller suv that can do a little more then any cross over suv can. The truck feel is part of there charm in a world of boring cross overs tue liberty is just a bit more rugged you feel like you can go through anything even if it’s not true you feel like you can . Although I put some good all terrain tires on mine and it did go through the snow and trails like a boss so I never got mine stuck
I have 2010 Jeep Cherokee (for European market they call it Cherokee but for the US market they call it Liberty) (KK) and it has 2.8 Common Rail Diesel engine with 5 AT (it also has mode selector 2WD/4WD auto/4WD low). So I'm wondering if there were diesel versions for US market? Diesel version has 177 HP and 460 N/m torque @ 2000 RPM (Gas version has 213 HP and 316 N/m torque @ 4000 RPM) Considering that diesel version has 28 MPG vs 20.1 MPG for gas it is quite interesting and that's why I've chosen diesel one.
@@paulstake the euro market is much funnier. Both the Cherokee and the Wrangler JK use the same 2.8 CRD VM Motori diesel and the same 5 speed Mercedes automagic gearbox, but the Cherokee costs 8-10k euros, whereas the Wrangler costs 20-25k euros so the Wrangler isn't that much better than the Cherokee. But yeah, I own a diesel 2008 Cherokee but will definatelly upgrade to the Wrangler in the future.

Haha this comment is great🤣🤣🤣
I paid 23,000 for a 2012 Liberty 4x4 including a bumper to bumper lifetime warranty .
I still have that Liberty and it has been a great vehicle .
Nice!

Very nice! Yeah, the gas mileage was fine until I got bigger tires. Now it pretty much sucks, but at least the gas prices are pretty low, for now....

I got a 2002 liberty. I want that body style 😩. It looks bigger and better.
The original Liberty is sweet!!!
The original one is better... Its faster and turns tighter

I don’t think we got any diesel Liberties. The States have not unbraced diesels. I’m not sure why….
