She's not a villain, she is broken. So traumatised as anyone who has gone through what she went through would be, the difference is that she's super powerful. I think that at the beginning she was doing it subconsciously but when she realized what it was happening she didn't want it to end because she felt happy. All the people she has lost, her parents, her brother, Vision, Natasha, Steve... to much pain for anyone to handle.

I absolutely love Wanda, and everything Marvel has done with her character. You can just feel how deeply she loves Vision, how much she just wants a normal, loving family and how utterly broken she is. I still don't think Wanda was responsible for the initial anomaly at Westview, but instead sort of "took over" in episodes 4 and 5. But even she were - can anyone really blame her? She has experienced an incredible amount of trauma and currently has NO support system in the "real" world. I completely understand if she broke.

Strongest. Not invincible. I once heard her called a "glass canon" and I love that picture. Strength comes in overcoming weakness, not in having no weakness. When she is in a fight, a basic weapon could potentially take her out if she doesn't see it coming. Her immense power does not remove her from being afraid of everything. She still has to be aware of her surroundings in a fight. She still has to control her fear as she tells Vision. What I love about Wanda is that her immense power to control minds, move objects, and shape reality doesn't give her an easy life. It gives her nothing but grief. Her powers came from Hydra and she is still paying for that. From aligning with Ultron and losing Pietro and losing Sokovia to the accident in Lagos and Civil War, to the deaths of Vision... her powers have brought her suffering, even when she tries to use them for good. People still fear her.... She may even fear herself. She has to go on the run. She is caught in the snap, and that was probably the most merciful thing to happen to her. All this uncontrollable power contained in one girl who has been hurt by life over and over again. And I still believe she never wanted to cause anyone in Westview harm. But at the very least, she is still compelling.
