I am thinking of getting a skein of a solid green for using for just heels/ toes for this year. I can do orange for my son and purple for my daughter. Then I can sort faster.😂
I’ve been married for 26 years and hubby has never been sent a jury duty notice. I get them every year either from the local county or the Federal district we live in where it’s an hour and 45 minutes drive each way. Haven’t ever been selected but loads of waiting time in the court house. Great Knitting as always and may 2024 provide all the best blessings to you and yours.

I believe you said you didn't want to knit sweaters this year, however, I cannot help but want to live vicariously through you and offer this thought: use that awesome cuddlebums yarn to knit glorious stripey sleeves on a solid green sweater. I'd use the slightly darker versions of each color on one sleeve and the slightly lighter colors on the other sleeve. Fingering weight sweaters are the best!
I'm in Texas and I wear my knitted socks year round, too. Mostly in my docs but sometimes shorties with my sneakers and with berks. AC is always blasting in places just about year round here though so I guess that's why I am able to wear them.

I was called by letter for jury duty a few years back and called them with a fake sob story. Told them I was sickly, can't sit up for periods at a time, sweaty outbursts, have no car or license, and on and on and was dismissed over the phone. A respectful play on yarn value Lisa. 85 pairs of socks @ approximately $30.00 per skein is $2550.00. Now that's not bad at all knitters. It's really not. Casted on my yarnable within minutes when it came in the mail. Went right to the swift first. Nice balance of color distribution. Beautifully dyed. Chilly in NW Indiana today. Love the cold, Adore the rain. I don't like (some) people too Lisa. Excessive chatter about nothing is a real turn off. I keeping making adventures and excuses to get the family away for the day. Have to up my strategy. An old Marlene Deitrick (spelling?) song. "Go away from my window. Go away from my door. Go away, way, way, from by bedside, and bother me no more".

Wow I have my stash pretty organized but tracking my knitting I’m horrible at, maybe 2024 will be different and I’ll write it down!! I feel your frustration with Jury Duty, I had a five year period that I was called six times! Ridiculous! The paperwork said bring what you can bring on a plane, so of course I brought knitting, even 9 inch circulars, got yelled at before I got in the building! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻they do not need you!

I got one like that last year for jury duty for where I live (was my first time ever getting one) and had some issues that was stressful with it because my name. It got sorted out and then jury duty was cancelled.

Hi Lisa! Now is a good time to practice reading while others are around. You could bring a book since you can't knit! I always have that option because I can tune out background noise! Do you do crosswords or sudoku? That's another option!
I hope that you won't be needed for jury duty. Last February, I received my notice that I was picked for jury duty... the same day my husband had his heart attack. (Like I needed the added stress!). The hospital wrote a short letter explaining that I needed to be excused as my husband needed round-the-clock care and I am his full-time care giver. (I shouldn't ever be called again.)
An idea for an advent which would be a bonus for grams out and cost saving😁I watched the creabea podcast and she was talking about her advent she “ran” people joined her list she matched them up and they traded advents they made with each other. I think she tried to match people in the same countries. So you would put together your scraps in 20 grams probably throw in some little extras for fun so the cost would just be shipping and that. Bonus you might get to “meet” another knitting friend. If you did that I’d be in!! Unsure if I explained that well since I’m only on my first cup of coffee😁😁with pumpkin spice creamer💃my store had 3 bottles of sugar free ( I can’t have the other) and yes I’m the one who freezes it

Hi Lisa. Have you tried reduced fat peanut butter? That may help. I also take a daily antacid now. But, since switching to reduced fat Skippy, I no longer get heartburn from peanut butter. ❤
De-stashing is selling your yarn that you don’t plan to use, or your taste change. I’m still trying to figure out what platform to sell it on. I’ve never done it before, so I’m a little stuck. 😆

One of my good friends (who I do an advent swap with) gifted me similar stitch markers for cast on counting. I am so thrilled!
