I guess I won’t be doing this to my Ranger as the previous comments indicate that whoever uploaded this video failed to consider some important aspects of automotive lighting. Thank you commenters for saving me the hassle of finding out I made a mistake by following a tutorial by someone who is not a professional.

Other than the Retaining Rring, another thing that needs to be pointed out. Turn on the Low Beams and make the necessary adjustments, so you don't BLIND the other drivers coming in the opposite direction on the street and roadway, it's a required adjustment with every vehicle that was never equipped with LED or HID Headlights. And people with Upgraded Headlights on their vehicles wonder why other drivers coming in the opposite direction flash their high beams at them.
I can't get the assembly out. The top comes loose as in the video, but the bottom will not come out. It is the same on both sides so it must be a common problem.
FIRST, you are showing this for a 2002 Ford Ranger. The 2000 does not have the clip release. This procedure for removing the headlight assembly only works on 2001-2011. You should have already fixed this. SECOND... You need to design and include a new lock ring for the 9007 bulbs. The wiring that sticks out the side of the bulb will NOT allow the factory lock ring to be reinstalled...
Thank you for your generous suggestion, we will check our information and update it. As for the wiring, we will give feedback to the product manager. It usually has such situation when you are installing 9007 LED bulbs, you can cut a hole on the factory lock ring to fix this problem. You can take a reference about the installation steps on this page: www.lasfit.com/products/9007-hb5-led-headlight-high-and-low-beam?Social&YTB%20Channel&LAplus9007
The bulbs I ordered for my dad don’t fit because of that dumbass ring that ford usses to hold the light in. I’m about to have to make a bunch of modifications to the headlight to make it fit.
Please don't worry, if the bulbs you purchased from Lasfit don't fit, you are eligible for a return and refund within 45 days of purchase. May I ask if the issue lies with the rubber O-ring on the bulb not fitting correctly? In such cases, we recommend removing the rubber O-ring on our LED bulb and replacing it with the one on the original halogen bulb, which should resolve the issue. However, if the problem persists even after this adjustment, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team at cs@lasfit.com for assistance.
@@bribowl2431 😆😆This video was taken about 4 years ago, very rough. We'll do a new video if we get a chance. Did you replace your OEM headlights with LED bulbs?
Sadly.. the Ranger stock reflector headlights suck balls. Better off spending a bit more, buying a second set of headlights, a 9007 conversion to projector and doing it the right way with an LED. Other drivers will -hate- having you on the road, blinding them with a reflector lens and LED bulb.
Hi, if you're going to buy after-market projector headlights, the bulb size will be different, not 9007. Because 9007 bulb is dual beam, works as high beam and low beam, usuaully only used in reflector headlights.
That's not correct buddy. You can't just rely on that o-ring to hold it in place that is just ridiculous. You have to take that white piece and slide it off the front then slip the retainer clip over that and then slide the white piece back onto the light and then click it back into place just that way the retainer clip is in front of the heat sink and that's how you get it to secure itself to the headlamp. God I can't believe you actually made a video like this and how many people are doing it wrong SMH
Thank you so much for your feedback. Yes, you're right. This video was filmed more than 4 years ago. We'll do a new video for 9007/9004 LED bulbs installation when we get a chance. May I ask your vehicle make, model and year? Does it come with 9007 headlight bulb size?

Hi, for this issue, we recommend seeking the assistance of a mechanic to help you complete the task : )
So no load resistor or relay is needed with these right?
Yes. What's the year of your Ford Ranger?
@@Lasfit-Automotive 2008. I was interested in the Fahren brand on amazon, but I'm reading that some of these have fitment issues.
That silver ball thing in my truck is rolling around in the housing, so do I need to get the whole unit????I think yea, ....but wat ur opinion???? Ty.
Hi, your stock headlights are sealed beam headlight type?
Could you take some photos of your headlights to send us for a look?

The title suggest a 2000 Ford Ranger. The 2000 doesn't have clamps.
That’s a clean Truck you got, What size Rims ?
Unfortunately it's not that easy because you cannot get the black ring back over it they will not stay in without the lock ring
Light comes apart.
Didn’t use the locking ring?
The lock ring needs to be used, to lock the LED bulb in housing socket.
Toooo fast, like he was in a timed contest. Dumbass left off the retainer ring. Just wait until it rattles out and melts the housing.

@@Lasfit-Automotive The issue is the plastic locking ring that holds the bulb in. It won’t clear the bulb in order to hold the light in.
