- Purchased my 2011 Ford Ranger in 2014 with 50k miles on it for $15k out the door. Here is a walkaround of the modifications that have been done to it since then as well as an overview of what maintenance or mechanical issues I have experienced with the truck since purchase.
Feel free to ask any questions about the truck you may have.
Wheel & Tire Specs:
235/75/R15 Fallen Wildpeak tires
Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys Series 7069 Flat Black Wheels 7069-5865 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing. + 1/2" wheel spacer on rear only
Thanks for watching
My dad rager lasted him 500k miles which is why I decided to get a ranger as well with 130k miles hope it last me close to 500k as well.
Thanks for the walkaround and explanations!
Love it! I have a black 2011 XLT. It was a former fleet truck. Maintained well by the company and its second owner. Glad how resilient and dependable it is. I'm going to look into more of the Atoto items. Might upgrade my audio too while I'm at it.
what a lovely looking truck
Beautiful truck
Great lil trucks. I have a 09 xl with 165,000 miles and still purrs like a kitten. I installed ALLA lighting AMBER LED in front and RED in rear. No issues. I changed the signal flasher to stop hyper flash. Love all you've done and I have more to do on my bucket list that you have already done. You should black out everything behind the grill. Gives it a way better look. 😎👍
Very helpful video. Thanks!!
I've owned my 2000 Ranger, 4 cylinder (with 8 spark plugs), 5 speed XLT truck since 2003. As the 3rd owner, I paid $3,500 for it, no interest or fees, a friend sold it to me after he repossessed it from a 6 ft tall guy who wrecked it, why it now pulls to the right. I've replaced the radiator, the starter and other things twice and replaced once everything else but the motor. Two front end and one rear jobs. Started rusting a few years ago. I guess using non-ethenol fuel for almost 20 years has helped keep the engine clean. 233k miles on it so far.
Yo, I also have a Ford ranger that I drove From California to North Carolina!
Mine is a 1994 2.3L
Not a bad truck. I also have 2011 ranger 5 speed 4x4 4.0 super cab. I don't know where too start with things ive done to mine lol. If u wanna know let me know ill be glad to show u
How's the reliability? I've heard nothing but horror stories on those 4.0 and 3.0
The 4 cylinder is a good engine. I had a 99 ranger.
plzz share links to all mods you have done
Can I ask what you did to modify the pop lock? I had to replace the plastic one with the metal one, but the pop lock still doesn't prevent the lock from being forced open. Would love to know what you did.
Not sure I could explain, just had to bend the tab in a different place, took a lot of trial and error.
Which seat covers did you get? They definitely look like they fit nice!

@@Samibz Awesome, thanks!
Whats that rear suspension thing called? Do u have a part number? Im curious to lnow more about it. Thanks.
Search for Sumosprings and you'll find it. I used an off brand that was cheaper but don't recall the name.
Do you have any more details or a guide on sound deadening the interior? The road noise drives me crazy in my truck
Not really sorry. There are some how to's on UA-cam though. It's pretty basic, remove seats, pull interior trim and lift carpet and install the deadening. I also pulled the headliner and deadened the ceiling. Good luck!
Yeah my 96 noisy on highway lol
How much u paid?
Sharp truck, could you post the link for the wheel spacers you have?
Thanks, info in the comments.
Would you be able to provide the link for where you got the shifter

Hey buddy fantastic video!!! I'm going to look on Amazon, but thought to ask : "Do you have links you can provide for the 1) Amazon seat covers & 2) the tailgate lock? I've seen " Caterpillar seat covers on Amazon, that do seem to wrap, but they have huge Caterpillar logos I don't like. And for the lock, never even considered that, but it would be wonderful. Thanks
Woops, I just saw you provided the seat cover link in another comment. Thx! Just need link for tailgate lock. Awesome video!
@@con_ed7960 here you go, this is the one I have, just make sure it fits your model truck: a.co/d/8FJjSk9
@@Samibz how did you have to mod the metal handle?
Where did you get the rims and tires from?
Wheels from Summit Racing and tires from Discount Tires Direct
What’s the dimensions on the rims and tires, I’m getting a 2010 ranger soon and I love the wheel setup
235/75/R15 Fallen Wildpeak tires
Pro Comp Xtreme Alloys Series 7069 Flat Black Wheels 7069-5865 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing. + 1/2" wheel spacer on rear only.
@@Samibzdid you do a wheel spacer because of Rubbing or just because you wanted too
@@briannajaramillo-garcia889 just to make it look better. No rubbing issues.
I just copped an 04 and all i care about is getting this 3.0 solid enough to stay alive while i build a 302 for the swap😭. All the videos are just run down rants tho no mods or recommendations.
What's the wheel and tire size?
235,75,R15 Falken Wild Peak is the tire.
@@Samibzdid you lower the truck? And if so, how many inches?
@@lukasrosa9974 truck is at stock ride height
Any wheel spacers on it? Thanks
Yes 1/2" spacer on the rear, nothing on the front.
Thanks
What tires you got on this
235,75,R15 Falken Wild Peak
You think some one who is 6’4 can fit ?
Head room no problem, leg room might be tight. I'm 6'1" and I'm comfortable.
that's odd. Here in Brazil since 2010 the ranger has other face. This is the pre 2010 face here. Anyways, it's better this way

Bro from Oakland you heard what happened to that cop they just shot
Truck looks real nice! What size tires are these??
Thank you! check the description for tire info.
